Wow! What a magical place Edgewater is. I came to relax and as soon as i walked in I felt calm. The restaurant has fabulous food, from breakfast to dinner. Sitting outside up on the hill and looking down at the lake was my favourite. The grounds are just lovely. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They even offered to carry my bags to my room. The walk around the lake was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend a stay here.

While we loved the location and outlook of this property; we were disappointed with aspects of the room. They were visibly old in parts and noisy (poor insulation) which meant we were kept awake by people above and besides us and walking on the external steps. We also had a long wait (well beyond the check-in time) to be able to check-in to our room, despite being told we would be able to check-in early. For the price of this accommodation, the overall experience and condition of the hotel was disappointing.

The new upgraded rooms are excellent. The property is on the lake for great walks and minutes away from the famous Wanaka tree in the lake. The staff in the restaurant were awesome and the food/wines were fantastic. It's located minutes away from downtown and in a great neighborhood. Everything was great.

A first class resort which I wish I had booked for more than one day. There are ground and second floor rooms in each building with the upper rooms accessed by stairs. Each room has a very modern bathroom and a outside patio with a view of the grounds and a bit of the lake. Used room service and it was delivered at promised time for a modest fee. Bed was comfortable and the walking paths by the lake offer beautiful views.

Our room with a direct and beautiful lakeside view was very comfortable and quiet. Dinner in the restaurant was fine, too, but breakfast service needs improvement: replenishing the eggs took at least 15 minutes, and one of the servers did not speak English sufficiently and gave incorrect information about the buffet service.

Beautiful hotel resort. We had a suite that was just perfect! The layout and views were amazing and it felt very spacious. There’s a restaurant available. The coffee breakfast was delicious. It is an older resort but very well maintained. We didn’t stay very long but there is a sauna available. The lake is just a quick walk out from any of the rooms and restaurants. I’m definitely planning to return to this location and the resort. Thank you!

We stayed one night in a superior apartment. We were very happy with our accommodation choice. The apartment was one of the renovated ones. It was roomy and had a view onto the lake and really convenient parking right outside. The dining at the hotel was okay, although much better options in the town of Wanaka, about 20 minutes walk away.
