The ocean view was exactly what we wanted (just as pictured)! Checking in and out was very simple and thinly accommodated us on a late check out so we could have a lazy morning.

Loved this place

Our unit was clean and bright. Great views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. Nice location, close to small towns and Newport. Definitely would stay here again.

Fourth time we’ve stayed here…

For a comfy cozy cottage experience, this place is perfect! This was the 4th time we stayed here and it is the perfect getaway for our family. Great spot to sit on the balcony and enjoy coffee or go for a walk up or down the beach or even just sit and enjoy all the nature. We will be back again for sure!

Five star view

The view from the balcony is fantastic. We would stay again. Really liked the indoor wood paneling. Would like to give it a full 5 stars but the bathroom window didn't open or close smoothly due to rust and the kitchen sink should have a garbage disposal. Great location.

Liked closeness to the beach. Did not like how noisy it was next to the highway. Without air-conditioning it was impossible to leave the window open or leave it closed and sleep. Would recommend new windows to cut down the traffic noise.

We would definitely stay here again! The property was clean and nicely updated. Even though it is in a 4 unit building we never heard our neighbors unless we were all on the outside patio at the same time. The views and access to the beach were incredible! If it is not foggy, the sunset is spectacular and we watched gray whales right off the beach. The location is just minutes from Yachats or Waldport, which both have amenities like restaurants and grocery stores. It was not a chore to run out and grab something if needed. And it's only about 20 minutes from Newport, which has a Walmart, etc.Check in and check out were extremely easy and management was responsive. There were plenty of towels and blankets and pillows and plenty of clean dishes and kitchen necessities. It was comfortable and cozy inside. Even though the bedroom is fully enclosed, the fourth wall did not reach the ceiling, so sound wise, you could hear everything in the living room and vice versa as if you were not in another room. We loved our stay.

Nice but not amazing

We loved the beach/ocean views and the deck is nice. The place is clean and overall comfortable. The pull out couch bed was not great, luckily the kids were sleeping on it because I think heavier adults would be sleeping on the metal bars. The kitchen could be stocked a little better, and some cleaning supplies would be nice, as we were there for 10 days. Yachats and Waldport are only minutes away, and Newport about 20-25 minutes. The one complaint we had about the actual location was its proximity to the highway; there was a lot of traffic noise into the bedroom. The biggest issue for me was the difficulty in communicating with the property management company. We hadn't received any check-in instructions the week of our arrival, which included the name/number of the actual property manager. I sent a message through the VRBO website, which I got a response they don't use that system. I sent them a direct email, which was never answered until we were literally approaching the property. I finally got the information I needed by calling, which was a project in itself as I had to call multiple times and choose different options to actually speak to a human being. The person I spoke to was very friendly and helpful, and sent me the information right away, but leading up was aggravating and disappointing.

Good value

Great location between Yachats and Waldport. Lots of great places to stop at on HW101. Great access to the beach. Clean less tourist spot on the coast.

Over the top!

Wow, what a great experience. I had made a mistake with our reservation. I contacted Nate at the property. He was amazing. He helped change our date and our cottage! When I called Evolve, the rep was so kind and professional. The cottage itself was very clean and welcoming. The views were spectacular and the location was great because we could run to Yachats and up to Depot Bay. Before we even got to the property, the communication with Evolve was spot on. And we would go back to this property in a heartbeat.

Do not book!!

If you’re looking for a carefully crafted and curated VRBO hosted by someone who truly cares for their guests stay, this is not the place for you. This location is not up to the vrbo standard I have experienced many times . This property is managed by a property management company. The company has strict policies, which I was informed they have the right to make exceptions too, unfortunately they chose not to make an exception for my issue even when I provided an option that was within policy guidelines. They will also not reply to emails in a timely manner so if you have a issue, call immediately. Regarding the actual rental, there was dog hair everywhere! I love dogs, but expected the place to have been vacuumed. There were stains on the spare sheets. And the sun coming in with curtains left wide open made it very hot, with no screen on the sliding door to leave it open for fresh air to come in and cool things off. I emailed photos to the management company 2 days ago and have not heard from them yet. Be sure you read that there is construction happening on site. There was no place to park when we first arrived as construction vehichles were taking up the lot. The construction starts early and is very loud. I saw complaints about the road being so close. I’ve stayed in many places close to the highway and never had an issue. This location seemed excessively loud, likely due to the speed through the area and it is “right” on the road. For the price, this place is not worth it. I was sucked in by the photos. Don’t fall for it like I did. There are hundreds of adorable places up and down the coast. Check those out. And for sure if you like places where the owner cares about their guests stay, this place is not for you.

Simply amazing view

Super functional, clean, cozy place to stay RIGHT on the ocean. The bedroom is not a separate room. Other than enjoying the beach (directly outside your door), watching waves and enjoying the view there's not much to do in the immediate area. Easy drives to shopping, and other entertainment. Furniture has been upgraded since pictures were taken. Our party was two adults and one child. We loved hanging out and watching the fishing boats. So glad I chose a second floor unit.

Overnight stay

Nice place to stay overnight. Close to the ocean. Bed was comfortable. Traffic from 101 didn’t keep me from sleeping since I left the bathroom fan on. Would stay again for one-nighter.

Beautiful getaway at the Oregon coast

This is a beautiful condo just outside of Waldport, close to natural attractions and restaurants/stores. Unfortunately after exploring our first day we wanted to relax and watch some tv, but the direct tv box didn’t seem to want to turn on so we had no tv the first night, also when going to take a shower the bathroom light was like a strobe, so our first night we had to shower in the dark. After contacting the guest contact the next day they were quick to come and fix the problems. Overall a very nice stay

Very disappointing

Property is about 30 feet from the highway so you get that very loud sound when opening the front windows. What is called the bedroom is not a room, if rooms have walls to the ceiling. This one didn't so there was no privacy. The living room space did not have enough furniture. There was one uncomfortable sofa and 1 large chair. So if a group of four want to hang out that means 3 people on the sofa and 1 in the chair. We had a clog in the toilet and called the property manger, left a message and got no reply. We also ran out of toilet paper. On the bright side, it had a nice (small) balcony and the walk to the beach is very short and comfortable. Stores and food are close by. If rented in warm weather, the cramped living space might be ok. Or if there were only 2 people.

Beautiful by the seaside

This was a very clean comfortable property. the fold out sofa was Uber comfortable and the bed too. Even though part of a small apt/condo complex, this was very quiet and made you feel like you were by yourself in a beachside house. The beach is just steps away and the view from the small patio is without compare! great! Easy parking and access and lovely accommodation. Loved staying here.
