There was no AC. There is a unit to heat or turn off. It felt muggy at night. There was no bottled water and could not use my visa from vending machine. The room is dark and outdated everything with a peach color toilet and tub.

We were really impressed with the hotel. The staff was very helpful and the room was very comfortable. Understand why there is no A/C, but fam worked well. Would definitely stay here again.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back in time say 50-60 years and live in your grandparents apartment. Well The Royal Scott’s lets you do just that . Right down to 55 year old gold carpet, 70’s peeling wall paper, appliances from the 70’s , red velvet lamp shades and even a lumpy 55 year old mattress to complete the experience. You get to experience all of this for $320 a night. If this was in any other location or city it would have been bulldozed 30 years ago. To top it off our first room was a smoking room and smelled so bad I couldn’t enter. The helpful bell boy admitted the hotel knew this but passes it off to third party reservations like Expedia and Booking as it is difficult to chase three parties. We however stood our ground and forced a move. In 57 years of travel I have never been in a place so in need of gutting. It smelled was worn out and the plumbing squeaked. I am shocked Expedia even lists this place. Please find another place anywhere but here.

Liked that the kitchen had sink, table and 2 chairs, decent size fridge, stove, cookware, cups, glasses, dishes, utensils and cooking tools ( including rubber spatula ), microwave, electric kettle, toaster and coffee maker. All clean and in working condition. Didn't like that the upholstery and the floor carpet looked at least 40 years old
