Overall, it was good. Booked last minute- took a chance on a listing with no reviews, only to have the listing removed from VRBO before we arrived. I thought we were going to be staying at a cabin, but it was actually a unit in a building that looks like a cabin that is part of a resort. Probably wouldn’t have picked it had I known that- couldn’t have a campfire. Also, I mildly panicked when I realized we were at a resort because we had our dog with. I panicked thinking I’d made a mistake when I filtered the listings and we weren’t actually supposed to have him there. Since the listing was taken down, I couldn’t even double check that way. Luckily I was able to find an email to confirm I had disclosed the dog. I’m the end, it was a huge “cabin” in a building of 4, kinda like a woodsy condo. It was very nice, in need of some repairs- which to me was acceptable for a place that allows dogs. Location was great right by Starved Rock. Probably wouldn’t rent again because if I want to rent a cabin, I want to be able to have a campfire. Mixed reviews.
