The host double-booked the property, or something along those lines. When we arrived, we couldn’t find the room because the instructions were unclear. After I reached out, she sent a room number, followed by another set of instructions.When I entered the access code, someone else came out of the room and showed me the exact same instructions they had received from the host. At that point, it was clear the place had been double-booked.I had to call Vrbo customer support and go through a very frustrating and time-consuming process. I arrived around 4 PM, but I didn’t check into the replacement hotel until around 7 PM. The entire process was long and exhausting.There were no available rooms, so I had to rebook another hotel and cabin.My kids and dog were exhausted, and the whole situation was extremely stressful. It completely disrupted our trip.I would not recommend this host. The experience was poorly handled, and I didn’t feel that I received a sincere apology. She treated it as if it wasn’t a big deal.
