Last-minute Get-Away

We were looking for some R&R near Donner with our adult children & Golden Retriever. This was perfect for us - quiet and welcoming neighborhood, cozy but roomy cabin, walk to marina to rent kayaks, kick-back pub (The Pub) and a surprisingly well-stocked grocery store (good wine and cheese selection)! Cabin was homey and very clean, it had 3 comfy king-sized beds, super-important for our tall family - nice linens, toiletries, plenty of cooking utensils and basics. Loved the outdoor spaces for eating, reading and napping! Especially appreciated the chess set - lots of games were had. I would definitely rent here again! NOTE: We weren't looking for a beach to hang-out at, so we didn't mind public beach being on the other end of the lake.

It was wonderful! Charming cabin and well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable furniture and beds. Very nice seating on the front porch. Very good location on the west end of the lake. Easy walk to the west end beach. We brought bikes and biked around the lake. There is a very nice tough shed for guests to store belongings. No fire pit, but we brought a gas fire pit and made s'mores every night on the side patio. Very good neighborhood, everyone is very friendly. A LOT of good books, games, etc. A perfect place to go and just relax. Will book again.

This beautiful home has all you need and more. Great location,comfortable beds, nice patio area, especially loved the kitchen & the fireplace. Just a short walk to the beach, but tucked away from the main street.

A Wonderful Donner Retreat

This was such a great place to stay. Landscaping at the house was so cute and front patio was comfy and perfect for morning coffee! The neighborhood was cute and lots of friendly neighbors. The house inside was comfy, charming, and clean! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils/bowls and oils/spices you could need. I loved the cozy rooms upstairs and the little reading nook! Oh and a game closet! My teens were so excited to find this! They also had an Outdoor shed that renters have access to with beach chairs, picnic baskets, beach towels! This saves a lot of car space so you don’t have to bring along! Location was perfect to walk to west end beach. The beach had volleyball, pickleball, water sport rentals and concessions! Perfect summer stay!
