Friendly Staff and Very clean

Staff are so friendly and helpful and check in via text to make sure you are satisfied. The room is spacious and all areas are very clean. Coffee is available in the lobby 24/7 which is great for an early riser. Bed was too firm for my back but all else was very good. Continental Breakfast is delivered to room for everyone at your chosen time.

The property is right on the beach which is well kept. Boat rental is right there also. Downside would be the heavy traffic on the street, can’t really walk anywhere

I booked a weekend at the Sugar Beach Resort Hotel for my girlfriend and our family for her birthday. We don’t have kids but could see how family friendly this place is. It’s decently quiet during the day. We enjoyed sitting on the beach especially with the convenient beach chairs for use and complimentary beach towels. Were a bit picky about our swimming water so we ended up not swimming much at the beach due to the dark sediment in the water at the shore. I’m not certain if this is just natural, or a normal condition for the lake but if you’re picky like us, I recommend somewhere along the beaches on Lake Michigan instead. The weather was not in our favor for the majority of our trip, being a bit cold and rainy but we were able to enjoy the local downtown area during this time. It’s great for shopping and dining with close proximity to the hotel. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub when weather wasn’t good for outdoor activities. Lastly, the staff were very attentive during our stay and very friendly.

I enjoyed our room, which was very clean and quiet. But most of all, a balcony overlooking the water, put the perfect touch to the room. The staff was helpful, friendly, and there always was coffee. :-)
