The experience was off to a rough start when, with 4 weeks before check-in, we were informed the owner had sold the properties and that our booking was still set, but that we would be one of the last guests. Upon arrival, it was clear that they had been doing some repair work on the unit. There was drywall dust everywhere a nail on the entry rug, the toilets hadn't been scrubbed clean, and under the beds were food, old water bottles, a sock, and a solid 1/2 inch of dust/debris. The first thing we had to do was vacuum before we could unpack. The Main TV didn't work, and we had to change the Wi-Fi setup on the bedroom TV to get that to work. There was no paper towel anywhere to use to wipe anything down. There was a nail sticking out of the vanity cabinet right next to the toilet paper. We communicated these concerns to the owner, who sent an acknowledgment of condition and offered a 10% discount for our stay. We stated we couldn't stay the full length due to the condition and operability, and asked that our final night be refunded, since we couldn't stay, and that was politely declined. The review guidelines posted on the fridge stated to leave a 1-star review if we would have been better off at a cheap hotel, which certainly applied to our stay.
