Welcome to our geodesic dome near Capitol Reef National Park! Our unique dome is the perfect home base for exploring the nearby Capitol Reef National Park, Goblin Valley, World Famous Dirt Biking, and beautiful hikes all around. Inside, you'll find a partial kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Just outside your dome, you have a private full bathroom. The dome sleeps up to 2 people comfortably, making it a great option for couples and friends. Enjoy stargazing from the hammocks outside and explore all that this beautiful area has to offer. Built and run by our new small family! Book your stay today and experience the beauty of southern Utah!

A perfect distance between Hanksville and Capitol Reef, the dome was better than advertised. We had very warm days and fairly cool nights, and the wall unit was able to accommodate both with multiple fans included to help circulate the air if needed. The fridge is small, but it is a fridge/freezer combo. A propane grill and microwave made food prep a breeze, but every restaurant and coffee shop we visited nearby was exceptional (Outlaw’s Roost deserves its 5 star rating with a chipotle style menu). The shower/bathroom is disconnected from the dome, but all essentials are provided and the water was exceptionally soft. Coming from a city with very hard water, we were not expecting that. Lastly. The hosts are incredible. Response times are often within 15-30 minutes, and anything you need is provided quickly. We plan to return again!

Really enjoyed our stay here! The “Dome” makes for a unique experience! They are very spacious. It was close to the road but the traffic wasn’t an issue. Appreciate the private bathroom! Would recommend staying here and we hope to come back sometime.

I thought this was a neat spot. The dome was really cute and well decorated! The only thing I think would be helpful for guests to know before booking is that they should bring their own water to drink. I appreciated the sign in the bathroom about the water, and while I had no issues bathing in it, it would have been hard for me to drink. I would have grabbed an extra gallon of water before I headed out.

Cool dome but area too bright at night

My husband and I stayed 1 night here as we were traveling through Utah. The dome was cool and the hosts were great. The only issue was the dome in front of us left thier outdoor lights on all night and they were so bright we had to close our curtains and didnt get to enjoy the night sky in the dome.

We would stay here again.

This was a fun place to stay and a nice setup. I always wanted to stay in a yurt. Very grateful for a warm bathroom. We enjoyed the BBQ and having a fire at night. We live in the city, and I always look forward going to a place where I can see lots of stars. It's a bit close to the highway, but we did not hear anything traffic during the night. We slept great! The heater worked great after we googled how to work it. The picture shows a blue, larger refrigerator and dinnerware, etc. in the cupboards. However, in the Oak Yurt, the fridge is half the size. I was surprised how much food we got in it. There was a bare minimal supply of paper goods. We brought our own because we figured we would be camping. We loved the large window and the view all around us. However, I was disappointed that the top was closed. The pictures show the top opened. I'm sure there's a good reason for it being closed up. All in all, it was a fun and nice place to stay. We had a great time. We would stay there again!!!

We loved the dome. Lots of games, bed was comfy, everything clean and inviting. Site was very secluded allowing great star gazing. Shaded firepit and lighting were an added bonus.

Trip to Capitol Reef

Property was easy to find being just off of Hwy. 24. Clean dome living area and clean bathroom next door. Great view of the buttes surrounding the area and great sitting places. A little warm during the day, but the instructions in the domes had suggestions to help and they worked. Unique area and a unique place to stay, loved it.
