Room was plain but spacious and clean. Lots of lamps but still felt dark. Wifi terrible, tv remote too complicated(even with sheet of written instructions 😂). Bathroom was clean but felt plastic and cheap esp. the shower floor. Called front desk numerous times on room phone but no answer yet not busy when we went downstairs. You are allotted only 3 small thin towels for 2 people to use in the pool and warned you will be charged $33 apiece if they are not in the room at check out. Pool was small but nice, sauna not very hot. They use a timer on it and the steam room to save money so it never gets hot. When I went to swim in the morning the door was blocked with a sign saying closed until further notice. Went back upstairs. Finally got through to enquire and was told to just move the sign and go in! Went down and double checked at front desk and again lady said just move the sign. This is a big metal sign and I am a senior with mobility issues using a cane.🤔I did manage to squeeze through and when I left the sign was still up. Maybe they don’t want people to use the facilities? You have to use your key to get into the change room which is good security BUT you also have to use it to get onto the pool deck area so you have no secure place to keep it. The common areas were very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Cleaning staff were friendly and polite. Terrible signage in underground parking lot. Overall a nice relaxing stay. Not sure if it was worth the drive enough to return.

Pros - Clean. it’s a brand new hotel - Parking: Free overnight parking - Coffee: 24 hour Tim Hortons in hotel, Lavazzo machine and pods in room - Aveda shampoo/conditioner - Amentities: basic gym, casino, race track - Location: is 10/10 if you need to be by airport; 2/10 if you need to be in Toronto. - Views: Your are attached to the racetrack if you need to see horse race. Cons: - Size: it’s a casino- like hotel so not good for someone who has difficulty walking. Wheelchairs and trolley for hotel are first come first serve.
