i had to spend 2 hrs on this yesterday, and have to redo it today. it's incredibly annoying, i can't believe i'm bothering. and there's minimal room for me to go into detail. so, the major point is that i thought it was fine, & a decent enough room overall. a smaller room in a gentrified, kinda downtrodden area of the city. (i'm not used to downtown renovations, so kinda echh) the room was furnished spartanly, but that's ok. i'm there for a day or 2, who cares. it was clean and the bathroom had very modern fixtures that worked pretty well. and a minifridge. the rate, relatively inexpensive, that's the main thing. i paid extra for a private bath. hidden fee, they charge extra for parking, plus taxes. it's in chinatown, obviously, near downtown. near yonge street and spadina. it was close to various stuff i was doing, including less than a mile from the main venue. had i been less lazy and more familiar, and it hadn't rained, i coulda walked to some stuff, and saved exorbitant downtown parking fees. the directions for checking in were a bit confusing and on site it was difficult to get the people there to assist. thankfully, i think, a bunch of people showed up right after me, so we got their attention. english, not great. then, we had to go around the block to the back to park the car, off an alley behind the building, the area was weedy and a bit unkept. bit of an insect problem, too. spiders, flies. the alley to the front and the side exterior of the building also. enjoy

Modest but very clean, highly recommend if in budg

Very modest room, not luxurious but clean, for the price and location it was excellent. The property has central air, It was a little hot but that's because I didn't check the vent, After I opened it the room was nice and comfortable, I asked for a fan and the manager gladly provided one. The location was excellent, 100's of restaurants within walking distance.

This place is in a great location for the Downtown area, but especially if you're a night person and enjoy roaming the city at night. You are in Chinatown so things stay open until 3/4am and there are some really great late-night food options. The room was quite spacious, and clean, so perfect if you're looking for a reasonably priced room just to sleep in. Bed isn't super comfy, especially if you like a really soft bed, but it's decent and manageable. I'd say this place is perfect for a few days, week or 2 weeks max, as there isn't anywhere to cook / store food, or get a drink / water, but fine if you don't mind eating all meals out during your drink and bringing water / drinks to the room at night. There are multiple bathrooms, which are kept pretty clean (at leadt done once a day). You will need to bring your own toiletries though and I'd recommend buying a bigger / more comfy towel (as the ones provided are a little small and thin) if doing a longer trip. I found this place super easy to access and 24/7 which was good as ny flight was delayed and I arrived at 3am. I also found it super safe as a solo female traveller, and had no issues in the building. The rooms are also lockable from the inside and outside.

Rooms were renovated since my last visit, and the AC and a fan were included and functional. The bathroom smelled like wet cigarette butts, but the room itself did not, so that was OK. If you're OK with stairs, and with supplementing your stay with the amenities you need for comfort (your own toiletries, extra pillows, etc..), then this place is a GEM. The price is absolutely the best you'll find, and it is just behind the AGO in a central and convenient, walkable location.

The budget hostel/hotel is about a five minute walk from the largest record store in CANADA. In nearby Dundas street there are so many Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Japanese restaurants. In nearby Queen Street there are many U.S. and CANADIAN fast food restaurants.
