1st thing is when I emailed the hotel about how to get there after a 5.5 bus ride THEY NEVER MENTIONED you had to take another bus to the hotel. The bus station was closed so we had to get a taxi for $82. 2nd it smells so bad of dog pee inside the room you can’t catch your breath or sleep. There is a beetle infestation and they are flying around buzzing you. We left early in the morning in the pouring rain. Couldn't get out soon enough! So bad it should not be listed on Expedias site. So gross!!! No stars!!!!!
Bugs flying all over the room. We had to tirn a light on in the corner of the room to keep them at the other end.

We took japanese style bedroom but the futons were super thin so uncomfortable. The private onsen was a bit smelly making the experience less enjoyable. For the travel to reach the place, we struggle little to go by bus. For the positive, the staff was amazing and helpful, the breakfast has lot of varieties for everyone. The room was super clean, spacious and very beautiful. Spending time with dogs around was lovely... what an amazing concept hotel.

It’s all about dogs there. Love how the Japanese love their furkids. Hygiene measures, dog runs, dog onsen with humans, dogs can access everywhere in this hotel, even the restaurants.

Very friendly staff. Convenient in its location with a good price. One point though - I arrived without a dog... It let's for us since after all as much as it is clean it's still a place with dog standatds cleanliness... Also, I haven't reserved food and there are no restraints around the existing shop has very limited non-dog food. But I liked the place 🙂 it was cute and as I mentioned the staff were very nice and helpful.

If you want to eat something you have to drive half an hour to Takayama or buy their dinner expensively. They charge the maximum price for the spa, 500 yen per person per day even if it is not used. Other hotels do not charge this "tax" if you do not use it.

Nice, quaint hotel in a scenic location

Great trip, quaint and cosy hotel in a scenic location with cute furry friends. Be sure to reserve dinner in advance if you'd like to dine at the hotel restaurant, as they do not accommodate walk-in guests. Front desk was extremely helpful with recommendations for other food options in the area.

夕食の際、明確な説明はなかったのですが、前菜からコースが進んで行かないので周囲を観察するとドリンクを頼んでいるテーブルは進行が良いのに気付き、これはもしかしてワンドリンク制なのではと察しドリンクを注文したところ、その後なにもなかったように進行して行きました。

お風呂は個別で良かったのですが、家族みんな一緒に入るならいいのですが、男女で交代で入りたかったので、時間内に入らなくてはいけないので全くゆっくり入る事が出来ませんでした。 又1人腰が悪く歩くのがやっとの者がいたのですが、足元が悪く温泉を断念して部屋のお風呂を使いました。
