Spacious clean room! Mine was street facing and super quiet with windows fully shut. Didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but the staff held my luggage until my room was ready, gave recommendations and was convenient to many shops and restaurants.

Convenient location

The hotel is conveniently located to easily walk places of interest, especially to Ortigia. Although there was no parking around the hotel, it was very easy to walk across to the nearby public parking. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The continental style breakfast had all we needed. Although the room we had was spotlessly clean and comfortable, it was a little tired/worn in parts that I wouldn’t normally expect in a 5*. But overall it was a comfortable room.

Save your money - pick another hotel

A/C in the room was unable to keep room at a temperature that was even close to comfortable. Upon arriving, there was zero attempt to assist with our bags or even show us the way to the room. Upon checkout, there was a gentlemen standing next to the desk simply watching my partner try to haul bags out to the waiting car while I was waiting for the slowest ever check out process to proceed. Zero attempt to help was made by the staff. If this was a 3 star, it would make sense. They bill themselves as a 5 star - there is zero about this hotel or the staff that says 5 star. Barely even 4.

Definitely not 5*, maybe a very tired 4*

This stay was part of a surprise trip to Sicily for my husband’s 40th. I had high expectations for this hotel given the reviews and the images. Sadly it was a let down. Parking was free street parking, thankfully this was easy. The walk to Ortigia was a simple 10 mins. Beyond that, those were the only real pluses. Our room was right next to the lift (203) and was pretty tired. Mould in the bathroom, peeling paint and not a single mirror in the bedroom. Just a mirror above the sink, so no chance to check your outfit. It also has one of those old fashioned hair dryer units on the wall to dry your hair but is sadly so weak you could be there several days before your hair is dry. We had come from a 4* in Taormina which had basic amenities you come to expect from a hotel - an actual hair dryer, dressing gowns, slippers and a steamer. None of which was present at this hotel. The worst thing though was the constant dripping sound from the air con unit. For me this wasn’t the soundtrack to a good night’s sleep. Sadly this wasn’t the hotel experience I wanted for my husband’s birthday. I suspect there are better hotels in a similar price bracket.

Modern, friendly hotel in great location

Wonderful hotel located on the edge of the historical section and near the Greek ruins. Friendly, caring staff, clean, modern, comfortable room, quiet, easy car parking on street. Great breakfast buffet too.

Chic, charming hotel in the heart of Syracuse

This is a chic, well-appointed hotel with charming rooms in a central location in Syracuse -- situated between the enormous Greek ruins and the charming old Roman section of Ortigia. The rooms are clean and elegant, with creative decor, comfortable beds, and modern bathrooms. The lobby is bright and cheerful. The attached dining area is large and airy, offering a large, many-option and reasonably-priced buffet breakfast. The staff are kind and helpful. My only suggestion to the hotel is to offer in-room fresh water in pitchers or reusable glass bottles instead of in single-use plastic bottles.
