I left Sydney Airport at 10.30pm. I had received an email and WhatsApp message from the hotel that the reception closes at 10pm and that they were placing my key in a night key box.
I had travelled 12hrs and I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and that I was only going to be staying 4-5hrs. The only thing I needed was a warm shower and bed.
Managed to get into the hotel, but to my shock, there were NO TOWELS at all! No face towels, no bathmat! And given that reception was closed, I couldn't ask anyone. For someone who only needed a shower before rest, it was just the worst thing to happen!
I didn't even shower the next morning either - I just washed my face at 3.30am and went to the airport. I reached my final destination another 12hrs later ... then got to shower!
I've never been so disappointed with a hotel!
