40th Birthday celebration

We really enjoyed our stay! The owners were very accommodating for early and late check in and gave us a personal tour of the home. You can tell they take great care of the house, very clean, and well stocked. We loved the game room and hot tub. We were central to all activities, Pisgah national forrest, white water rafting, hot air balloon ride, breweries. And can’t beat the morning coffee view!!

Best Vrbo Stay Yet!!

This has to be our best rental yet. The house was immaculate and so comfortable. It was well stocked and so much to do just at the house, you never have to leave if you didn't want to! The view was great. The hosts were friendly and warm, greeting us upon our arrival. Great place to stay and we will definitely be back!

We actually loved this property! We were in Swannanoa for a wedding. Everything is accurate in the description, was very clean, and Charlie and Barbara are the best hosts ever! They met us when we got there and showed us everything; we had no problems! Throughly enjoyed the covered patio view of the mountains. Would highly recommend this property to anyone! Hoping in the future, we can visit them again :-) thanks again Charlie and Barbara for a wonderful vacation!

Peaceful Getaway

What a wonderful vacation in this lovely, spacious home! Clean, quiet and conveniently located between Asheville and Black Mountain. Owners were super nice and provided helpful recommendations about area dining and things to do. Spent hours on the covered patio taking in the mountain scenery and listening to the chorus of birds.

This property was an amazing choice for us. Hot tub, full kitchen, a lot of extra linens, and awesome living room space. The deck overlooking the mountains was the highlight. The host was welcoming and responsive. Thanks for a perfect weekend!

40th birthday

We went to this location for my husbands 40th birthday. Its not to far from Ashville so you still enjoy the breweries. But if you just want a place to relax this is perfect! Isolated enough, great views, and so peaceful! Also Charlie and Barbara were amazing hosts! Anything that happened they fixed immediately! Would 100% stay here again!

The Property was very neat and clean inside and outside! Very well maintained! Location was great to visit Asheville, house was roomy for 6 adults. Enjoyed the big screen TV and liked the radio speaker system we used on the main floor.

Weekend of hiking

“Big Red” is a perfect place to stay for comfort, coziness and relaxation! The home has wonderful views from the porches, and I loved waking up to hearing birds singing while I drank coffee on the porch. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking. The hosts were wonderful and greeted us for a tour. Very easy check in and out. Overall a wonderful stay and I’ll be back but next time I’ll stay longer! I didn’t want to leave!

Great reunion and birthday celebration

We had a group of 7 retired ladies who all graduated from Miami University in 1970. This property was perfect for our 75 year birthday celebration. The house was spacious, clean, well-stocked, and had so many amenities! Our hosts, Barbara and Charlie, were the best. They took care of our needs and were so friendly. The views from the upper patios were amazing. The grounds were immaculate and we enjoyed a night around the big fire-pit, which had the firewood provided. We would definitely recommend this property to any large group having a family get-together or a reunion of friends. You won’t be disappointed.

Loved our stay!

The communication with the hosts was thorough and so friendly. The house is absolutely amazing and great for sitting on the deck, having an outside fire at night, playing pool, cooking meals, etc. Highly recommend this home!

Beautiful house & wonderful hosts!

We stayed at Charlie and Barbara’s beautiful house very recently with my sister and her family and LOVED it! The house was perfect for us. 3 bedrooms on the main floor with kitchen and living room, and the deck with grill, chairs and table gave us a gorgeous Mountain View. We spent almost all our home time outside on the deck. The hot tub was delightful and appreciated after a long day of walking around Asheville and the Biltmore. The game room on the lower level has a pool table, foosball table, a set of bunk beds, and a large sectional with huge TV. It’s only a 10 minute drive to Black Mountain in one direction and the Blue Ridge Parkway in the other. And a 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. Grocery shopping and gas is about a mile away, so everything is quite convenient! They are wonderful hosts, a class act, and the house is well-supplied, including cooking spices and a “starter pack” of local beer! Don’t hesitate to rent this place; you won’t regret it!

Hidden Gem

This was a great place for a family getaway! Charlie and Barbara met us at check in and gave us a tour of the property. We enjoyed all the amenities, especially the hot tub and fire pit. Our family loved the location which is just close enough to town but far enough away to the enjoy the privacy the property offers. We hope to stay here again.

Big Red house!

We had a group of 6 adults Directions were not clear but when we found it it was beautiful. Our host met us at the door gave us a welcome drink and a tour of the home! The house was spacious the basement was a tv/ game room which we enjoyed lots! Definitely worth renting 10 out of 10!,

Fantastic for family or group!

This was a wonderful place to stay! We came with 4 couples as a retreat and we all had a blast. The location is exactly as it was described on VRBO. It was a clean and well cared for property. ALL the beds in the house slept amazing, most comfortable any of us have had at a rental! The owners were very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

Great house near Asheville!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this property. Very clean, spacious, modern and well-equipped. Enjoyed the views, hot tub and fire pit, as well as the pool table and foosball! Will definitely stay here again. The only small thing I would add is some plastic drinkware to use in the rec room and outside at the hot tub and fire pit. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful house, wonderful hosts

8 of us got together to explore the Asheville area. The house was amazing. Ample space for 8 guests. Amazing views. Lots to do at the house (fooseball, pool, hottub, even a piano!), and right near Asheville. It was the perfect launching pad for hiking in the surrounding area, rafting down nearby rivers, seeing some waterfalls and enjoying many of the breweries around town. Would recommend this location to any decent sized group looking to hang in the mountains.

Our stay in the Black Mountains

The house was wonderful. We didn’t want for anything. The kitchen was a pleasure and everything was clean. The view from the deck was magnificent and we had a great time. Everything went so well and had just a really nice stay
