Our rating for this rental is 7.5. We were met with many flies upon arriving which we had to buy a flicewater at the grocery store to deal with the same day. We swept the deck as it was a mess. Our socks were yellow by the end of the day due to the floors being filthy. The couch was very comfortable however, we found someone else’s potato chips, dog hair and a rubberband from someone’s hair inside the couch. A portion of the dog enclosure/fence was damaged at the bottom and therefore we had to keep our dogs on a leash and not unattended. The floor plan is pet friendly open and spacious. The dining area is high enough to keep dogs from getting any food. Kitchen is very spacious, well stocked and better than average appliances. The gas stove was a huge plus. Beds were comfortable although the bed spread downstairs smells like it has never been cleaned. Lower level shower was absolutely amazing. Easy access from the main highway and sits on a quiet dead end street. No wake cove and nice dock facilities including life jackets and one kayak which we had to clean before using. It was a nice comfortable and relaxing stay. Clearly the house is a work in progress as a door in the basement is locked off due to a room being unfinished, missing trim around the ceiling, patch work ceiling repairs and missing cabinet doors under the sink. Would stay here again if available and thank you.
