Lovely property in a great location. Close to the train station and attractions (old jail, castle and shops/ restaurants). Breakfast was very good. Staff were fantastic however the hotel does not do early check in which was a little disappointing given our 1st two hotels would if rooms were available (they were happy to store our bags though which was nice). Overall though, very good experience and would recommend.

Disappointing room but convenient location

The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the bed was comfy but the room was tiny. If we had realised how small the room was we would have either booked elsewhere or taken the offered upgrade. We were given a shower as requested. It was very conveniently located for the castle, other ancient buildings and for the town centre. Expect really steep hills in order to get anywhere.

This was advertised as a four star hotel The room we were allocated had a threadbare carpet , an old black vinyl based bed and all the vinyl was peeling off and worn . A mismatch of poor quality bathroom fixtures, varnish peeling off the furniture. This was reported to reception but no other rooms were available no manager till the following morning either so I asked if a message could be left and we would see him . Only the duty manager was available no message had been left at all . We moved to another room which had been refurbished which was we should have had initially. We arrived in the restaurant for breakfast the following morning and waited 20 minutes for our order to be tsken . Half an hour later it still hadn’t arrived . This was reported also and we were refunded £13 for the breakfast. After receiving a mail from the hotel asking how our stay was and the general managers mail to contact him with any concerns , I sent a mail and still waiting a reply …..

Collesio location was perfect for our event we were attending nearby. Full Breakfast was tasty, Reception/Bar and waiting staff all polite, friendly and helpful. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, fortunately fan provided as was very warm. The only down side of our bedroom was that it was looking a bit tired with hole in the carpet and bed base had cosmetic damage. Would stay again though.

We had a great stay at Hotel Colessio, the staff was friendly, and it’s in a great location to see Stirling Castle. Easily walkable from the hotel. Breakfast was good, had smoked salmon both days. I’ve seen people complain about the beds. Ours was firmer than we’re used to, but still comfortable enough for a good nights rest. I might be concerned about the shower accessibility if I was an older person. It’s a deep bathtub which was great but a little slippery and a large step over the edge. Parking was about around 18 pounds for 48 hours. Would stay again if I was coming to the area.

Colessio is in a great location, walking distance to Stirling Castle, the church, and many pubs. The rooms are nice, beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I do not recommend the breakfast, it was overpriced for what was provided.

The room was not the category that we had reserved. We had to argue to get this fixed. The paid for breakfast is disappointing: eggs are a supplement, as a latte. Finally, asked twice to get a second set of towels in the room (after all, there were two of us !!!). Never got the set. Location is incredible. But this is a common sell: looks incredible on the outside, underdeliver once inside. Will definitely come back to Stirling, but I will look for another "luxury" hotel.

Hotel & Staff absolutely amazing. Great bar with a great choice. Sadly only thing to let the hotel down was the breakfast, Scottish Breakfast simply awful (many others agreed) the amount of breakfasts left uneaten was a lot ! Fruit & Pastries were not replaced efficiently again leading to long delays and many people asking staff to replenish. I’m sure the breakfast issues can be sorted (although after speaking to regular guests it appears to have been an issue for a long time). We will certainly stay again as like I said staff and the hotel were great just the poor breakfast service and quality.

Location, location, location

Great location and friendly staff. short walk up the hill to the castle and other historical buildings and down to the town for shops, bars and restaurants. the rooms would benefit from a little TLC, replace carpets etc. that are threadbare etc.
