The renowned resort town of Staudernheim is located on the middle reaches of the Nahe River, at the foot of the famous Disibodenberg. Set in a beautiful low-mountain landscape featuring a diverse mix of river, forest, farmland, vineyards, and meadows, it offers the relaxation and rejuvenation you need. Excellent and well-marked hiking trails lead from here to the surrounding area, both near and far; numerous benches invite you to take a break, and the hiking parking lot at Jungenwald offers barbecue facilities. Staudernheim also boasts an attractive fishing spot for anglers: an approximately 8-kilometer stretch of river that, with its calm and fast-flowing waters, offers everything a fishing enthusiast could hope for, such as trout, eels, and whitefish. But recreational athletes, cyclists, inline skaters, and Nordic walkers will also find plenty to enjoy thanks to the varied network of trails. A visit to the 3,500-meter-long barefoot trail between Staudernheim and Bad Sobernheim is a unique experience, allowing you to enjoy both the beautiful landscape and a sense of physical well-being at the same time. A view from the observation tower, adjacent to an orchid meadow, offers a magnificent vista of the Nahe Valley. On the decommissioned Glantal railway line, you can enjoy the charming landscape between Staudernheim and Altenglan along the Glan River by riding a handcar. The area’s convenient location makes it ideal for day trips along the Nahe River, into the charming Hunsrück region, the Palatinate Highlands, to Idar-Oberstein, and to the nearby spa towns of Bad Sobernheim, Bad Münster am Stein, and Bad Kreuznach. The cities of Mainz, Wiesbaden, and Frankfurt are also practically right on your doorstep.
