While the condominium is somewhat dated—consistent with much of the infrastructure on St. Thomas—it was exceptionally clean and all amenities functioned perfectly. With only three guests in our party, the accommodations were quite spacious.The property is ideally situated adjacent to a pristine, uncrowded beach, and includes access to a well-maintained pool and hot tub. Our host, Justin, provided consistent communication, ensuring a seamless experience. The environment remained serene throughout the day and very quiet at night.Please note two important considerations for future guests:Accessibility: The property requires navigating numerous stairs, which may be challenging for elderly travelers or those with limited mobility.Transportation: A rental car is essential for exploring the island, as taxi expenses can become prohibitive.Despite these caveats, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

Before I write my review of your property.I would like you to be aware of the issues we had. 1) say of the property was not what we expected (as you know) I would highly suggest that you that the suite upstairs is separate from the suite downstairs. this is especially helpful for families that are traveling with young children and do not want to be separated from their children.2) the condo looked very tired. There are a lot of little things that could be made to make it look and feel better for example changing out the shower curtain in the front bathroom because there is mold on it, fixing the carpet walking into the bathroom because the carpet tacks hook you every time you step on it and it hurts, adding some fresh paint around some trim, especially near the dining area, getting some extra deep sheets for the front king size bed. The sheets popped off every time we rolled over , tightening up the faucet in the bathroom and changing it to match, fixing the noisy fan in the bathroom.On a positive note, we appreciated the chairs and the Floaties that were there for us to use. The problems we had with the air conditioner on the top floor we’re taking care of fairly quickly .The property grounds weee very nice. It was nice to have sangrias to get a quick bite and some drinks. It was also nice to have the water right in front of us and that it was so close to Hooks Bay.Would I recommend this condo to someone else? absolutely not !

Amazing Location!

This was our first time staying in this location, but the friends we were traveling with stayed in this condo the previous year and told us it was great. We were not disappointed! Even though it is a little older, everything was clean, the views are amazing, and the location is great. You can walk down to the pool and beach, where there are free chairs to use, and there are two restaurants on site, which is extremely convenient. There is one parking spot, and I highly recommend renting a car. Justin is excellent to work with, and he responded immediately if we had a question throughout the entire process, including our stay. I highly recommend this location!

Nice place in a beautiful location, just steps to the beach!

Overall, we had a great experience staying at 48 Winward as a family of 5 with teens/tweens. We found the property closely matched the VRBO description.Fantastic locating, but I'd highly recommend renting a vehicle, which we did. The property offers a dedicated parking spot for your rental. We drove all over the island including nearby Red Hook, offering restaurants, shopping, and ice cream. We also ventured to Coki Point, specifically to Coral World Ocean Park. Highly recommend!The Elysian pool, Cowpet Bay Beach, Sangria's, and Caribbean Fish Market are all on-site and were very convenient. The food was good and the pool and beach were incredible. Loved having access to all the beach chairs on the property. When we ventured to Magens Bay Beach and Hull Bay Beach, the adjustable beach chairs stored in the laundry room were perfect and saved us from having to rent them. Access to laundry in-suite was great!The front entry to the condo is a metal gate and screen door (no solid front door). From the entry/foyer, you can enter the main suite which includes the laundry room, kitchen, open dining/living room, 2x bedrooms, 2x bathrooms, and balcony. The 3rd bedroom is a completely separate suite. The suites both have keypad locks. The layout was our biggest complaint as we didn't find this clear in the listing and we had to lock everyone in by key (metal gate) and could only be let out by key, a potential hazard in an emergency. Forced separation from kids wasn't ideal.

Nice location near Red Hook in decent complex

Decent location, Nice pool and little private beach. Couple restaurants. Unit was right size for us. Has everything needed (e.g pretty well stocked) - but unit itself a bit dated. Aside from that no issues.

Nice stay in Cowpet bay

We had a very nice stay. Cowpet is a great location at the far East end, away from the chaos of downtown. Red Hook has plenty of dining and drink options. Don't miss Secret Harbor and Sapphire beaches for snorkeling!The unit itself is well laid out. The beds were great and the AC units were able to keep temperatures cool. The kitchen is small but very functional. Property manager was very responsive and very helpful at check-in, as navigating the island with iphone maps can be tricky.Having a parking space right in front of the unit was awesome.My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that this unit is a high volume rental unit and it shows a fair amount of expected wear and tear of high use. Chipped plates, carpet stains, rusty washer and dryer area, mismatched dining chairs, etc.I'm also not a fan of all the stray cats in the area due to my allergies.I'm not sure we would stay a second time.

Cowpet Bay West

A great condo for 3 couples. A separate bathroom for each bedroom. The kitchen is a little small but the lanai, bedrooms, bathrooms and living room are spacious. We would definitely stay here again. There is a nice beach only a 3 minute walk from your door.

Yes, you’re in the Caribbean, the island views are beautiful, the restaurants were fantastic. Overall, everything was VERY expensive on the island. There is a pool that was fine for us. The beach was fine but the water was not great. No waves and lots of seaweed. Now to the unit itself…..the beds were VERY comfortable BUT the linens were worn, as was the unit overall. (We were only given one set of towels per person, which I found odd) It needs an overall overhaul. The two master suites had bathrooms that were so tiny and outdated. The upstairs bedroom had a great bathroom but no closet and a queen size bed. The kitchen is equally tiny but sufficient, as long as there are only one or two people at a time. The kitchen mats are dangerously old and need to be replaced or someone will trip. We found a cooler in the laundry room and an exploded Dr. Pepper inside of it - so that should’ve been checked. The washing machine is not leveled and so it jumps around the laundry room due to a missing tile on the floor. So, it can’t be leveled at all unless that floor is corrected. Communication was good with the property manager but there were some messages left unanswered. The concierge did a great job helping my husband set up our restaurant and excursions. Overall, the unit was sufficient and we adjusted, the beach was meh, but we had a wonderful time with our adult kiddos who don’t live near us and that was the most important thing to us.

Wonderful Place

Our place was just as advertised and very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful, and the beach was heavenly! There is a great snorkeling place against the rocks just North of the beach. The beach bar and restaurants were wonderful! I highly recommend this place!

Annual sibling get away

We had a wonderful 10 days in St. Thomas. The property was well located with a pool and nice beach beyond, with chairs and loungers available at no cost. There was also a restaurant with delicious food on site. We enjoyed it so much that we dined there 3 times during our stay. The property is close to many other restaurants and a grocery store was just up the road. The property could use a little sprucing up which was not evident in the online photos. When we had maintenance issues they were handled immediately. Everyone we dealt with was very accommodating and professional. Communication was great. Thank you, Justin!

Overall very good location and property

Everything was good, the only issue we had was there wasn’t enough hot water, so showers were very short. Other than that, everything else was good.
