We ended up canceling our reservation shortly after check in. The property manager was extremely accommodating and did graciously provide a full refund, which we do appreciate as technically they did not have to. However upon arrival I could immediately smell the mold and/or mildew in the room. Given the record breaking storms last season, I tried to give it some grace but the smell caused an asthma attack after being in the room for a short while. I notified the property manager that we were unable to stay and that there were 3-4 dehumidifying devices in the small space. The property manager was unaware of the added 2-3 devices and was going to send someone to evaluate. She was willing to help us find other accommodations but we had another option lined up fortunately. The view was nice and the front desk worker was helpful. The room was more run down/dirty/ dinged up than I was anticipating based off the photos. The provided towels had seen better days and I would recommend bringing your own. Well I wouldn’t personally stay here, I would work with this rental company as they were willing to work with us and go above and beyond their requirements of the contract.
