Welcome to Cory Cottage – your ideal retreat in the heart of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea. Just a short stroll from town and adjacent to the Algonquin Hotel, our charming cottage offers four ensuite bedrooms, inviting living and dining spaces with fireplaces, a chef’s kitchen, and picturesque ocean views from the kitchen and rear decks. Whether it's a family vacation, a girls' getaway, a golf weekend, or a corporate retreat, our versatile haven caters to every occasion.

Cory Cottage is a beautiful historic home dating back to 1830, offering a perfect mix of old-world charm and modern comfort in the heart of Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea.

Once owned by Canada’s first interior decorator, Kate Reed who decorated most of the CP hotels including The Algonquin, this charming cottage sits next to the famous Algonquin Resort in a picturesque historic town.

Enjoy stunning ocean views from the sunroom, private deck, or second-floor balcony. The four unique bedrooms are designed for comfort and style—two have private garden access, and one features a balcony overlooking the ocean. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, two with luxurious soaker tubs.

The bedrooms come with Hamuq Organic Hybrid queen beds, quality linens, and flat-screen TVs. The main level features a chef’s kitchen with top-quality appliances, a formal dining room with a gas fireplace, and a cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace. A peaceful parlour overlooks the spacious back garden.

For extra space or privacy, the one-bedroom Coach House can be rented by guests of the main house. The Coach House is air-conditioned and has a kitchenette, a sitting area with a day bed, and a private bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. There is also has a balcony with lovely garden views. (The Coach House is not rented separately from the main house.) Please enquire if you are interested in using it.

Highly recommend this beautiful property. My family group of six adults truly enjoyed the cottage and its great amenities. The host made a special effort to make our stay so comfortable. The check in process was easy and the gourmet kitchen is wonderful…just wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Cory cottage. We booked the cottage for 3 nights leading up to our wedding at the Algonquin hotel. We stayed at the cottage with some of our bridal party and we had a fabulous time drinking coffees on the screened in porch, cooking big breakfasts together in the morning in the cottage's beautiful kitchen, and enjoying the close proximity to the hotel for getting ready for the big day!

Girls getaway!

We stayed two nights at Corey cottage. From the start of our booking. The host could not have been more helpful. Very easy to contact and responded quickly. We stayed 2 nights and were able to unload our vehicles in the morning of the day we checked in as we were heading to Maine for a bit of shopping. We appreciated this so much. The cottage is stocked with everything you could possibly need. We brought few groceries as we were planning to dine out. Everything was easy to find. And quality linens, dishes , cutlery. The view is beautiful. This was an amazing place to stay and I would recommend it. Can’t wait to come back some day.

Perfect stay for conference

We recently stayed at this fantastic VRBO in Saint Andrews for a conference, and it exceeded our expectations! As a group of four women, we appreciated the property’s perfect location next to Algonquin, which made walking everywhere a breeze. The house was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed, with every detail considered for our comfort. Our host was incredibly responsive and ensured our stay was seamless. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Amazing home

We love Saint Andrews and this home was the perfect way for our family to all be together to enjoy it. We love the old homes and historic feel of the area. This home has a rich history with a great blend of modern amenities yet with a historic feeling. The house was spotless and very well looked after. All of the rooms are large and spacious with very comfortable beds. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom which is a great feature. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need. Dierdra was so pleasant and helpful from the very start. She answered all of our questions and even helped with some great suggestions. We really can’t say enough good things about the house and the host. We would definitely come back and stay here again!
