We had a wonderful stay in the Manset Room at Harbor Heights in Southwest Harbor. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and features a well-equipped kitchen, which we used for breakfast and lunch. Both the bedroom and the futon in the living room worked well for our family—ideal for a couple with a child. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the picturesque village. We enjoyed coffee, popovers, and live music at The Common Good, a nonprofit supporting the community food bank. Dinner at Beal’s Lobster Pier was a highlight, followed by evening strolls for ice cream. We even took a yoga class at the community center. Ed, the host and a local high school teacher, was friendly, easy to reach, and provided a helpful guidebook with hiking tips and beautiful photos of the island. We loved exploring Acadia’s quiet side, with a ferry trip to Swan’s Island, swimming and kayaking at Long Pond, and visiting Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Renting bikes for the day from Southwest Cycle was another great experience.Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable Acadia getaway.
