We rented a Lake View room. This is misleading. The room had a partial lake view at best. A large meeting center building is located in the parking lot. Between the room and the lake. Most of the view, from the second floor, is of this structure. No one should be charged a full lake view price for this room.

we booked the king great room with lakeview, we expected to be the same like in the photo. to our surprise it was dark and smelly and its a connecting room, it said it was lakeview but it was a little far from the lake and a little bldg was blocking the view. so i asked nicely if we can change our room, at first they said no king great room was available in the bldg that is really facing the lake, so we have to downgrade with no refund if we want to transfer to that bldg, i had no choice but to say yes because the first room we had was far from the photos, fortunately the lady in the reception said they still have 1 available room located in the next building facing the lake just like the one in their photos. i was just wondering why they did not gave that room to us right away??? the male receptionist who gave us the first room was not even nice. all i can say rooms in the bldg facing the lake save this property.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The interior of the rooms have been renovated. The exterior is a little older, but maintained well. The location is literally across the street from Lake Tahoe! I enjoyed watching the sun set and seeing a beautiful twilight!

This place was nice. I’m always afraid to book in Tahoe because I know that the buildings are old. It has been modernized. The hot tub was amazing. It was hot, not like lukewarm taking a bath with others. Property was all kept. Bathroom was clean.

We had to cut our stay short because none of us could sleep comfortably in the room. The temp would not go below 80 degrees despite adjusting the air multiple times. The air blowing into the room also seemed to be dusty as we all left with stuffy noses and sore throats. It’s not reasonable to open the sliding door for air with the weather being 20 degrees outside, especially with children. I’ve read other reviews with guests having the same issue and unfortunately it doesn’t seem the hotel has attempted to fix this at all. We won’t be staying again.
