My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Blue Mountain Retreat this past weekend. From the moment we arrived at the property, we were swept up in the ski cabin atmosphere while still enjoying the comforts of a fully modern home. We were very impressed with how close Hidden Valley Ski Resort was from the cabin. We also found Seven Springs and Laurel ski resorts a short, easy drive from the cabin. We were also impressed by the uniqueness of all three ski resorts. We were thankful it was easy to ski at all three, because each offered a unique experience.
The Oakhurst Grille was very close to the cabin, and we found the food to be both delicious, varied, and reasonably priced. We also stopped by Giant Eagle, which was close by, and grabbed a few groceries for the cabin's modern kitchen. We utilized both the Kerig and drip coffee makers and found both easy to use and in great condition. We also used the oven and refrigerator, which were both in great condition and user-friendly.
The hot tub and wooded yard were huge assets to this property. The hot tub was in perfect working condition. It was hot, and all of the jets were working. We also enjoyed the picnic table and fire-pit area.
The cabin was set up remarkably well for skiers. We easily found places to hang our ski clothes and place our ski equipment. We also used the washer and drier since it rained during our visit. We were quickly able to wash and dry everything.
