My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed 3 nights in July 2021. We chose this property because of its location to the Kenai river and because of its ice house. Everyone liked the location because you can walk to the river and it's near the end of the road so it was very quiet.
The initial cabin picture that shows when you're looking at places is not the cabin we stayed in (not a problem as they all have a similar look). All the inside pictures are correct. There are a few other cabins on site and across the road that can be rented out. My husband was told if you rent a cabin on the side of the road with the ice house/laundry, then you can fish directly from the property.
Everyone had pleasant interactions with the owners and when we had a change in plans for our next stop, Homer, Sandi said she could get us into a different unit if we needed another night, but it wasn't needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a clean, comfortable, cozy cabin for the four of us.
Tips: The laundry machines take credit cards - $5 wash, $5 dry. There was no detergent available for purchase during our stay, so bring your own. The shower had an Esa brand dispenser for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in case you don't want to pack your own.
