We received a free upgrade to a room overlooking the canal which was lovely. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Pleasant friendly staff. Good location for walking into Skipton.

We were not made aware when we booked or on arrival that’s there was a wedding reception. The noise from the DJ, disco,music and Karaoke was unbelievably loud from our room from 8pm until after midnight and we had no escape from it. We feel that we should have been made aware so we could’ve made an informed decision and stayed away. The room was also tired and in need of updating. We did meet some nice friendly staff but the above spoilt our stay.

We had a very nice stay . The food in the restaurant was very nice and the breakfast was exceptional . The only thing we thought was that our room the midland was quite noisy. We would stay there again but probably try and get a room at the rear.

I enjoyed my stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. Only one evening due to a wedding reception , the band noise disturbed my sleep 😴 but overall my stay at the hotel was very pleasant.

Good selection for breakfast. Would have preferred coffee/tea to be served rather than carrying hot cups/teapots through the bar area to the restaurant area. Poor quality bread for guests who require gluten free options. Would also prefer tables to be set for meals rather than cutlery in buckets. Others using the table before us had probably touched the cutlery rather than it being freshly set for each guest.

Very comfortable room with a superb shower located in Herriot House. Food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Free parking was very convenient. Would definitely use again.
