Perfect common area for our family but generally tired feel overall

The spacious common atea was perfect. The kitchen layout was good but there was so many drawers and cabinets with different kitchen items, it was hard finding things. Speaking g of which- there were no kitchen towels… I had to ask for paper towels and toilet papers. There was no tissues and one round of bath towels also several electrical outlets didn’t work and Wi-Fi in bedrooms was poor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt that the pictures captured the space but the general feel and some functional aspects like electrical outlets and Wi-Fi was lacking.The hot tub was excellent and stayed clear with maintenance!

Perfect Winter wonderland!

This home is outstanding! We had a family holiday, and this home felt magical and luxurious. They had everything we needed, including some things we didn’t know we needed, like heated floors! Absolutely fantastic and we cannot recommend enough.

Great week at Black Butte Ranch.

Great week at the Ranch, few comments about cleanliness and amenities. Windows super dirty, disappointing, since it was a golf course front property. No cheese grater, massive lack of storage for extra food! No bathroom on main level.

Annual Ladies Getaway

Had a great annual getaway with the ladies. We’ve stayed in various places around central Oregon and this was our first time at Black Butte. It’s pretty far from the main entrance (15-30 mins) but we loved the privacy of this house and the neighborhood. We had a group of 7 and there was plenty of room for all of us. Hot tub is great and the house was very clean. Would stay there again.

A little lacking

Our first impression was that the driveway was covered in snow and ice and it was somewhat treacherous to navigate into the house with our bags and food/beverage items. There was a smell in the house when we arrived, which we think was coming from the garbage disposal. There were not enough bath towels and no wash clothes in the bathrooms. It appeared as if the place hadn’t been used in a while. No Kleenex, just empty Kleenex box holders. The sliding door to the hot tub locked automatically (twice) and we had to walk around the house to get back in. It appeared this happened to a prior guest as there were tracks around the house from the deck. It would have been nice to have a sign on the door alerting us to make sure it was unlocked before going out to hot tub. There was no firewood in the firewood cubby, just a toxic Duraflame (which we did not use). Overall, the house is nice, but dated as they are in BBR. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was a nice amenity. Common space was nice for hanging out, dining, watching TV, cooking, playing pool.

Was Great

Stay was great. Was surprised to find out about an extra fee that had to be paid on arrival, but I think it was mentioned in the listing, I just didn't see it. Also was surprised that most of the local restaurants in town were closed for lunch, but eventually found one and it was really good.

Nice home, big lot, great for a family reunion

Loved the resort amenities. Home had lots of great sport equipment! Only issue was with the cleanliness of the house. Bathrooms, counters and other surfaces were clean. We had a 'crawler' in our group. I tested the cleanliness of the dark stone floor in kitchen area with a wet paper towel - it was NOT clean.

Great location for us but needs TLC

1. Outlets in master bath didn’t work, breaker was not blown. 2. A lot of bat poop outside front door and bat poop on 2 areas of deck with bar-b-que. 3. No comfortable furniture to sit on and relax outside, i.e., nap, read, etc. on either deck and downstairs patio. 2 chairs with footstools on deck off of kitchen very stiff and uncomfortable. Other chairs are fine at tables for eating. Thank goodness the sectional couch in the living room is fantastic.

We will be back!

There isn’t anything I would change about this house. It worked great for our large family. The kitchen was amazing with every top end appliance and gadget that you might need. We also use the weber grill on the front deck. The hot tub was divine at the end of the day. Everyone enjoyed the large living room/recliner couch. The pool table was fun too. The house is at the very far end of the ranch, so very quiet and looks out on a Greenway with lots of trees and wildlife. We hope to come back next summer.

Black butte Family House

We just finished a great stay at this property. It was very clean upon arrival, had easy to operate instructions, was incredibly well stocked, and had a very simple check out requirements. We had 3 families and it had great space for everyone. It is at the very back of Black Butte so too far to bike to main pools and lodges with any young kids. Prepare to drive some. This was the main downside. There is a small more private pool and tennis courts a short bike ride away. The home is older with some updates, but very well maintained. There is no central a/c but wall units that instantly cool the home. At night, the downstairs does get a little hot. The price is very fair for what you get. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we’re comfortable.

Great house but not clean

Just a heads up, Vacasa does not disclose the additional $200+ fee upon arrival to BBR. The house was perfect for our family except for the cleanliness. The kitchen stove and cabinets were greasy. The dish towels and bath towels were mildewed. Our bedsheets had hairs and the master bath hamper was full of the previous renters dirty clothes. Lastly, the TP and paper towels were super cheap 1 ply. It’s really too bad the rental management company isn’t thorough with communication and cleanliness.
