A vacation gem in Shawano

My husband and I traveled from San Diego, California, to visit my family in Shawano over Memorial Day weekend. We normally book a different property on the lake, but it was occupied during our expected stay, so we took a chance on this property and were pleasantly surprised! Our hosts were absolutely wonderful: friendly, highly communicative, and proactive in fixing an issue at the property on our very first day. We enjoyed the updated interior of the home, the backyard view of the lake, and many included amenities (such as kayaks and paddle boards). After our stay, we communicated a few issues we noticed at the property and the hosts were gracious and responsive to fixing them for future guests. If the property is available during our next visit to Shawano, we will most certainly book again! So glad we found our new favorite place!

quick review

This was a very nice cabin/small house, obviously older but fixed up nicely. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, plenty of seating downstairs, and the hosts had a nice addition of games and puzzles for all ages.

Great house right on the lake

I rented the house for a weekend ice fishing trip with my son. The house was great. Very clean and updated interior. Great location right on the lake. The process was very smooth and the owners were very responsive.

Fishing Basecamp

Wonderful property that met my needs while ice fishing. There was plenty of space to store my gear in the shed, and recharge other equipment near the door w/o overcrowding the living space. I was able to park my trailer on the grass and utilize street parking for my truck. Beds, bathrooms, and kitchen were all clean and updated.

Christmas!

This home was perfect for our Christmas!More than enough room with the large open living area.The hosts were great at communication, answering any questions, and were quick at responding. Also, the hosts went above and offered to decorate for Christmas, which included a Christmas tree.We really appreciated. Check in and out was easy. They offered some games and books for all ages. Some kid toys were available to use. This home has alot to offer.waswas easy and quick.

Sisters get away

Great place! Loved the pier for fishing...even caught a northern! Amazing sunset view over the lake. And great deck for looking at the stars...great place to relax and reset. It was too cold to go in the water, we may revisit to do that next summer. House was clean and comfortable.

We can’t say enough good about this lovely home and the hosts. We had an entire family with an infant, toddler, teens and grandparents. Both the host and home were overly accommodating. The lake access and views are spectacular. Will 100% stay again.

This was an amazing lake house, and great for a big group. Large open living space for everyone to gather and enjoy time together. Super easy check in process and great communication with the owners. Could not recommend this place enough for groups or family’s.

End of Summer Family Vacation

Great view of the sunset! There was plenty of room for the 4 of us, and we could have brought many more people with us. They had everything we needed to cook all of our meals, the only thing we couldn't find was a marshmallow roaster, but we didn't check the shed. We rented a pontoon boat from American Marine, and enjoyed spending our days floating away on the lake. There was a lot of seaweed so we weren't able to swim from the dock, but it was great to tie up the pontoon and watch the sunsets. There is a Wal-Mart and Aldi just down the road and the downtown was cute with some nice shops. This was our first time on Shawano Lake so we didn't realize the houses were all so close to each other- it wasn't overly busy and the neighbors were nice though. daydays floating on the lake.

We’ve never had so much room and we’ve been renting cottages all over the state since the mid 90’s. We had room for our yard games. Could easily get in touch with the hosts. Only issue was kids couldn’t play at the shoreline because of the mucky sand. But we took boat etc off shore a bit. They also loved the fishing off of the dock.

So many things to do in all weather!

This was our second time renting this property on Shawano Lake, and it was as wonderful as the first! The weather was not as cooperative this time, but we had plenty to do with all the games, large TV for movie time, fire pit, and all the outside amenities when the weather was nice enough to hang out by the lake. The location is perfect for sunsets and bird watching. Loved it!

Wonderful stay!

This cottage was by far the best we've stayed at in the area. The owners thought ahead to the needs of the renters,from toys to coffee filters. The only thing missing were directions to the TV and thermostat for the technically challenged. (us) Would go there again!!!!

Great cabin

Wonderful updated home with plenty of space for a large family. Great location on the lake to view sunset. House was well equipped with everything we needed. Really appreciated the SUP boards and Kayaks. Kiddos enjoyed the sandbox.

Second time staying here & our family loved it. The only negative was the airflow upstairs was unbearable & made it very uncomfortable for everyone who was sleeping upstairs. Neighbors were super friendly on both sides & the location for watching sunsets made it truly amazing!

Fabulous weekend stay!

Our family really loved our time at Jenny and Kyle’s lakefront cottage. The home is set up to host large families, and our kids made the most of getting their own beds on both main/upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped with every bowl/pan/appliance we needed. Our family really enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks which we could enjoy right from the dock. The owners obviously care about the details!! We had a few hiccups in our schedule during our stay and our hosts were super accommodating, available to field our questions. We would love to book again!

Great Cabin in Prime Location

Well maintained property with all modern finishings. Comfortably fit our entire family. Great location only minutes from Shawano. Water access was perfect and we could easily pull our pontoon in. Great fishing off pier, caught a variety of fish. Would recommend!

Such a great spot!

Beautiful home away from home
