Overall, this hotel had what we needed, was in a convenient location and a great price for the length of stay and all inclusive. I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star hotel but you get what you pay for.
On arrival, the hotel hadn’t received our booking from hotels.com which was rather worrying and not a great start. They had to call hotels.com to confirm this and it was resolved quickly. However, if the hotel had have been fully booked then we wouldn’t have had anywhere to stay.
The final day of our stay we had left 700 EGP on the bed. When we got back to our room one of the cleaners outside introduced himself and mentioned how he had cleaned our room for us all week, almost as though he was hinting for a tip. When we got inside the room it became apparent he had helped himself to a tip as the money was no longer there. 700 EGP isn’t a lot but it’s the principle and we had also kept this to pay for our taxi to the airport.
We also noticed the cleaners threw things away such as carrier bags in the room which is minor but we had kept these to put our laundry in. I personally don’t think they should be throwing anything away.
The hotel itself is clean in general, however the bathroom in our room could’ve been a lot cleaner. We did also find a cockroach in the bathroom one evening which wasn’t pleasant.
The food in the hotel was nice, particularly the Indian and bbq restaurant. The all inclusive drinks are made from syrup, if you want juice in them you have to pay extra.
