Nice and Clean

This was clean and nice but not in a very good location. Not very walkable. Parking was easy. No AC much like the rest of Germany. It was incredibly hot during our stay. Just a decent place to sleep and move on.

Have been 3 times to Arcadia, can always count on a pleasant, comfortable room and convenient location to visitor sights and good transportation options. Excellent breakfast. And very welcoming front desk.☺

Hotel in Schwetzingen

Hotel was fine - have stayed here once before so was happy to go back. Nothing amazing but nothing dreadful either. Quite a large room and perfectly clean. Just a little on the warm side. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would say the breakfast was a little pricey for what was on offer.

The staff Avery friendly and a great help. The rooms were too hot as there is no air conditioning and it was hard to sleep. Could also do with an extra pillow on the bed. The hotel was clean and value for money.

Fantastic breakfast with friendly staff they spoke good English even though I speak german. The espresso machine is to kill for. And the view from the rooms on the top floor facing Heidelberg are spectacular.

Worthwhile first visit

We stopped off overnight and were met by very pleasant and helpful staff, check in was quick and easy the rooms were clean and comfortable providing everything we needed, the staff were helpful recommending places to visit and eat and giving directions would definitely stay here again

reception staff clearly frustrated with check-in - it was closer to rude than a "german directness" The "free" premium bottle of water in the room had the seal broken - (perhaps the last guess refilled it and didn't read that it was free). No extra pillows in the room. all in all an ok stay.

Stay was for purpose of attending the German Grand Prix. Hotel was ideally placed to travel to the circuit and also eating close to the hotel in the evening.

Good breakfast, room a bit worn down

I was looking for a cheap place to stay and as always you get what you pay for. The room was a bit worn down but nothing really bad. I just needed somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was not included and a bit pricey, but then again, you get what you pay for... I left the hotel full and content.

Overall pleasant stay at Arcadia

Only stayed for one night, just passing through in order to see the Schwetzigen residence and gardens. Thoroughly worth it, at least for our purposes. We had three adults in a triple room. Good size room. Werther's candies on the bed stand- so cute.

Hotel Is not in Heidelberg!!

This hotel is advertised as being in Heidelberg, it's not!! It's a good 15 min drive into it! Carpet in the room was disgusting with stains over it. When we went to check in, there was no one at the desk and when she did return back she said "Sorry I was on the toilet!"-hardly professional! Good point was the shower.

Nice hotel very spacious

We arrived at the hotel having wrongly booked a room without a childs bed. We were changed to a larger room for 15€ more, which wasnt a problem. The rooms were very spacious warm and comfortable and we all had a large bed each. The staff were helpful, and the breakfast was nice. Can complain at all!

Nice but way too far out of the way

To start this hotel is not in Heidelberg. It is a 25min cab ride out of town. The hotel is nice. Super clean. The staff was very helpful and willing to help. There is an asian restaurant next door and a bar. The town area and castle area is quite a walk. There is really nothing else nearby the hotel. If you are looking to stay in Heidelberg be sure you are staying there. Many places in Heidelberg available. Go to the tourist office at the train/bus station in Heidelberg. They will set you up if you have not made accommodations.

German GP 2014

I chose to stay at the Arcadia Hotel Heidelberg (which is actually located in Schwetzingen) due to its close proximity to the Hockenheimring motor racing circuit. The hotel is located in what can only be described as a large industrial estate. The rooms leave a bit to be desired in regards of facilities, lacking air conditioning, a safe and the mini bar was out of order when we were there. For the most part, the staff were friendly and helpful, which fairly good English. It is ideally located if you are planning on travelling to the Hockenheimring, with a taxi ride lasting less than 10 minutes. A short walk from the hotel is the town if Schwetzingen, which has many restaurants and bars. It isn't a rival to the Hilton, but aside from the relative lack of room facilities, it isn'😇t too bad at all. Breakfast was nice in the morning

The bed was uncomfortable and with only one small pillow. No decent eateries in the walking distance area. I had to pay for an outside Wi-fi provider. That's so last century. Staff where friendly.
