Its rugged topography, with slopes of up to 30% along its 24-kilometre perimeter, stretches from the coast with steep cliffs to 1,507 metres above sea level.
A visit to the many viewpoints from which you can see the north coast of the island is a must.
In and around the village there is a wide range of restaurants and tascas, which have become famous for their quality and variety. Among the highlights to visit is the Casa de la Miel y el Vino (House of Honey and Wine) - with a sample of the best of these two products produced on the island.
