Spring Break 2022

We had a wonderful time! Location, location, location - perfect!! Loved the screened in porches and location among the trees. Nature trails were fun!! Stocked with everything you need for the beach & bikes for everyone!! Only small drawback - would suggest removing old carpeting on next upgrade….but would definitely stay again😎😉

Over stay was great! For the exception the garbage disposal.

Disposal was full of trash and bottle caps, which I clean out. Also the shower near the floor behind the toilet had beginning signs of mold. Great location rented bikes, had a wonderful time. Beach access was nice as well, just short walk. We would definitely rent here again in the future.

Fun family vacation

The location was perfect. The accommodations very good. Could use a few minor updates. Sink in downstairs bathroom clogged. One of the bikes had a flat tire which we had repaired. A/C went out once but was repaired quickly. Seems a little worn in general but good. We would probably stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was really clean and had most of the things we were wanting for sure!! The bikes, walk to the beach, close to restaurants, coffee and ice cream! The beds were very comfortable and clean! The pool was a great change from the white beach for a day or two!! I would highly recommend this townhome!! 🏖 it could have used a few more kitchen items but the necessities were there!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a good time. Very relaxing place to stay. Neighbors were a little loud, but not too bad. Only complaint was that the master suit needs a new mattress & needs a box spring under the mattress. It was very uncomfortable. Also the sliding doors were very hard to open. Great location. Easy access to the beach & shopping.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was excellent. The neighborhood and pools were great. Short walk to the beach but tucked away from the noise. The townhome however could use a little TLC. It was not dirty per say but very worn in. The master bed squeaked with the slightest movement. The screens were broken or missing. Not the most well stocked kitchen I have stayed in and the rug in the living room needs to be replaced. We knew when renting the home it had one bathroom, but it is a tight one bathroom when you have two adults and two kids.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bike path and beach 5 min. away - very convenient. Also, State Parks and walking trails close-by. Rental was well-kept up, clean and updated. Washer & dryer were newer, kitchen dishes, pots & pans well-stocked. We loved our time at the Cassine Garden Rental and the people we've met. We plan to return to the same neighborhood next year. Outside screen doors in the front and patio should be replaced, however. Also, mattress in master bedroom was softer than we prefer. Therefore, not as comfortable for us.

Nice but needs updating

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is a good size and in a beautiful location, and we loved the screened-in porches. However, the beds are extremely firm, the carpet is old and weirdly sticky, and there are small repairs needed, like a loud ceiling fan in the master bedroom and the dryer has a note on how to use it because the switch is basically broken. Also, the bikes in the pictures are included, even though the management company told me they weren’t. Kitchen could use more supplies, like a tea kettle. Altogether it was okay but a little disappointing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed staying at condo 219. Area is nice and the condo is in good condition. Keyless entry was very convenient. Removing trash, starting the dishwasher and leaving the unit tidy did not take a lot of time upon checkout.Couple of items for consideration:The dryer door doesn’t close, so it takes longer to dry clothes than it should. Also, it is a hazard since the dryer does not stop when the door is open.The couch appears to be broken and probably should be replaced. It would be good to let people know beforehand that the third bed is in the closet!It would be nice to have a map of the complex. We found the second pool but only after much effort.

Quiet, well equipped, and cozy.Only small complaint is we wish we could have gotten into our condo earlier than 4 pm to he say we arrived. We got there at 2 pm and had to wait 2 hours to access the condo.

Spring break

Overall the stay was nice for a family vacation. The king bed in the master was a bit uncomfortable and seems ready for a mattress replacement. The dryer in the unit does not operate properly and we had to call for a repair on it and it still did not work properly. Other than that the community was nice and amenities were as described. The management was responsive to our calls for assistance.

Fun times at the Flamingo Retreat

Reviewer Comments: Great private location in Cassine Gardens. 2-story townhouse was perfect for letting kids stay up late downstairs while we were asleep upstairs. It was also surprisingly close to the beach - about a 5 minute walk. The property was nice and had 2 very nice pools. Also has nature trails to Washington Forest. Owners left bikes and other beach stuff to make the visit extra fun :) Overall great vacation spot.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Flamingo Retreat was a perfect location for our first trip to 30A! It is centrally located in a cute and quiet neighborhood. Pools were clean and not overly crowded. Walking distance to beach although we chose to drive to a different access point because the closest one is crowded with a condo complex. Condo itself was perfect for our family of 4. Well stocked with games, beach equipment, bikes, etc. Thankful for the box fan in the main bedroom bc the ceiling fan I basically just decorative. Upstairs bathroom specifically the shower room needs a little TLC but still clean and functional. Sliding doors stick a bit and disposal in kitchen makes a terrifying noise. Overall we would stay here again for sure, but it could use a teeny bit of TLC, especially after the season!

Reviewer Comments: Some wonderful positives to share: Great location, loved access to the bikes and beach chairs, pretty trails, easy walk to beach, easy walk to ice cream shop, shower stays hot with good pressure even being third person to use it, nice touch with the available family beach movies and games for the rainy days, screened porches are nice with updated, clean rugs on the porches.I feel it's important to note areas for improvement as well though: upstairs shower/toilet area needs care and updating especially the peeling caulking with dirt/grime around floors and quarter round, old/dirty bathroom rugs need cleaning or completely replace, musty/wet dog smell throughout - maybe removing the old shag carpeting and replacing with plank hardwood would help with smells and cleanliness, large cockroach in kitchen drawer spooked me for sure. Bugs happen and kitchen seemed clean overall, but might need exterminating. There were snacks in a basket for guests, which was a nice touch except the snacks expired three months ago.Overall, great stay - this could be an even better place with some tender loving care to update and elbow grease. :)Benchmark was professional and the Hospitality app made check-in and out simple.

Did Not Receive Needed Help

Reviewer Comments: When we got back home, we asked Benchmark to help us plan our next vacation with them. They did not follow-up with us and we have not heard from them.
