Only thing that was strange was that you needed a fob to get onto the beach - lots of rules for the beach. Better to rent than to take your own stuff.

2019 30A Beach Trip

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house. It was beautiful and the location was just as they said right near the beach. Only hook ups were the dispose all under the sink went out and was not repaired while we were there. Also we were short a few lightbulbs and had to figure it out ourselves. Other than that it was a great trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing family vacation at the Emerald Rose! The home has a great flow & location! The screened in front porch & 2 upper porches were fun too. The home is spacious & cozy at the same time. The heated pool a block away was perfect for the days that were too windy or cool for the beach. It was great to have the access pretty easily available too. We would definitely stay again!!

Short walk to beach and the pools are perfect. I did not give 5 star for the cleanliness because the glass doors were very smudgy and the glass table was too. But I would return.

It does have a decent walk to the beach and you have to kind of go through a gate to get to the beach. But that's not the fault of the house. It would have been nice to have had some bikes or Beach things to go with the house.

The Perfect House!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved staying at Emerald Rose this summer. The layout was perfect for us, our two married children and our grandaughter. We stayed in the master onn the upper floor and the "kids" and our granddaughter stayed in the three bedrooms downstairs. We loved having a second loving room for toddler TV or when the "kids" wanted to stay up later. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was plenty of room in the dining/living area. We used ALL of the porches during the week too! It was great to be a short walk to the pool and beach as well, and having three parking spaces was a luxury! We loved it and will be back again for sure!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was just as described! A 3 minute walk to the beach, clean, quiet community, not on a busy road, and we so enjoyed all of these things! Our only issue is that the washing machine began leaking on Friday and maintenance was not able to fix it. Laundry service was offered at no charge however they would not be able to arrive until Sunday. With 10 people in the house, this was a pretty big inconvenience. Thankfully there was a laundromat several minutes from home, but this did make things more difficult as we were unable to do laundry in the house for duration of our stay.

Lovely beach home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Emerald Rose was perfect for our vacation. The layout was great with three bedrooms/2 bathrooms plus a sitting area on the lower floor and a spacious kitchen/living area on the main floor with Master suite. There are two outdoor decks and a wonderful screened porch. LOTS of space. Great closets, dressers in every bedroom. The couches are a little worn and could be replaced, but still comfortable. The dryer has an awful squeak when being used. The tub drain was clogged, but management came out the very next morning and fized it right away. The WiFi is terrible. Could've been that there were a lot of people in the area, but very hard to get a signal and when we did, internet was slow. These were the only downsides. The kitchen is fully stocked with every dish, pan, grilling equipment you could need. We have rented a lot of VRBO homes and have never seen a kitchen so well equipped and organized. Very clean upon arrival. Comfy beds, high ceilings, lots of room. very very short walk to the beach and a 15 min bike ride into Seaside. I would definitely rent this property again.

Worst Management Company

We received a text saying that if we wanted to check in early if the rental was ready for a $65 fee. Fine, we would have paid that. Never got a message saying that the rental was ready. We went ahead to the property to see if it was ready around 3:30. It was, but we still couldn’t get in until 4:01. Then we tried to wash clothes and the washing machine started flooding the floor and wouldn’t drain. I texted the company and they said that they were waiting on a part from a third party vendor. Come to find out that the washing machine wasn’t working before we arrived. It would have been nice to have known that beforehand so we could’ve packed more clothes. Had to go up to the rental office to get more bath towels since we couldn’t wash clothes after calling/texting 3 times to get towels. The washer never got fixed and we had to wash some clothes in the bathtub just to have some decent smelling clothes to wear. Needless to say that we won’t be renting from Benchmark 30A ever again!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was beautiful, in a great location, well stocked and clean. Unfortunately, the management company was NOT up to the standards of the house. When I called to check in, they told me the washing machine was being repaired but would be fine at check in. We checked in without issue. The ice maker didn’t work well (about 6 ice cubes per 24 hrs) and the oven was not hot enough. I put in a load of clothes, only to have the bottom floor flood. I called, and the company was responsive but the guy who came told me he had been there the other day and just turned the water valve off because it was broken and he didn’t know how to repair it. I told him of the ice maker and oven, and he looked at them and said “that is just how they work because they are efficient. Just turn up the oven temp by 100 degrees and buy a bag of ice”. Also, When it flooded, we used all our towels to stop the water from soaking into the bedrooms worse than it already had. I called to get more towels and laundry service. They responded the next day and brought towels about 36 hours after we requested them. I asked to speak to management and they said they would call but never called me back. Choose a different company to rent from. I hope the owners wise up as well and switch. I spent half a day wringing out wet dirty clothes and mopping up water off the floor. Not an ideal vacation.

Just as advertised. 3 bedrooms plus a hide a bed on the ground floor, Kitchen and Master on the 2nd floor. Well appointed, very comfortable.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great. It was easy to get to the beach and pool. Management made sure we had everything we needed to check in.The kitchen had a terrible smell. It turns out the disposal wasn't run from the last renter. The management company came out promptly to remedy it.One downstairs bathroom door hardware was broken, the tub wouldn't drain in the other downstairs bathroom. The laundry doors were hard to open and close and the dryer made a horrible squeaking noise that meant I couldn't run it while the kids were seeping.

Great Location

Nice house, plenty of room, great location. Pools were nice. Close beach access. 10 minute walk to lake by the beach, which is great for kids!

We really enjoyed our stay and would book this place again. It is a close enough drive to all the touristy activities but also far enough out so you are not crowded with tourist and can relax. Not to mention the cost to stay was very affordable.

Turnkey sucks

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once they get paid your service is all “lip service.” Is I’m voice everything on all social media I can think of soon. You didn’t care when I was there so why would you care what we have to say now?
