Scratch the surface and you realize it is a façade
We had two accidents - my children ate something that resulted in them vomiting on the bed sheets the first night and them having bad diarrhea on the last night prior to leaving. After the first night, the bedsheets were not re-supplied, resulting in my kids only sleeping with a bed sheet throughout most of the trip. The owner persistently asked if I took the bed sheets to the beach- I never took any of her sheets or towels after she charged me a total of 1,600 MXN for the cleaning of the sheets. For those unfamiliar, you can have food for 5 on the beach with life vests for kids for an entire day. On the other hand, you can wash bed sheets for 200 MXN. As I mentioned before, when I checked out Claudia kept asking me about the bed sheets. I wanted to enjoy the rest of my vacation so I blocked her phone number as I did not want anything to do with her.Behind the thin veneer of the house you realize how cheap it is: plastic cups, a bed frame that creeks, mattresses in the guest room that NEED TO BE REPLACED! The bedsheets are NOT 2000 thread by the way!The rooms have air conditioner, the common area (kitchen and living room area) DO NOT! You will not be comfortable eating. It is hot and humid.With regards to the location, her advertisement on VRBO says that it is a 20 minute walk. Nobody, and I high doubt she ever has, walks along the two lane highway to Mazunte. In addition, when you turn off the highway to the house, there is a steep drop. She should notify.
