It’s very rare for me to leave a bad review,but in this case, I feel that I should give anyone thinking about renting this place a heads up.When we arrived, at least we had the correct access code When we got there, we still hadn’t received any info other than door code and map coordinates.Called the number we were given,we got a voicemail. Left a message, never got a return call. Messaged the host, didn’t hear back for hours.Our immediate questions were: Where’s the drinking water. The was none. What is the PW for internet? No indication anywhere in the apartment.There were exactly 4 worn bath towels in a beach rental which claimed to accommodate 4 people. Fortunately we were only 2 people, so we goosed them along for the 6 days we were there. And now, the rest:Very soon after we booked the rental, we made a minor change in plans, requested to have our stay shortened by 1 day and asked for a refund. Weeks went by. No refund. I reached out to the host 3 times and eventually we were refunded 25% of a one day rate.Prior to checking out,h the ost told us that he would only be refunding the balance on what the algorithm set as the rental rate on out day of check out which was considerably less than what we paid. We never even received that.I reached out to VRBO and opened a case They claim to be working on it. The agent told me that the listing was an “external listing” and it that it was up to the host to the host to decide what would be refunded. Really?
