We had the perfect stay, which began with a lovely welcome note from the hosts. Every detail is well-thought-out and perfectly executed. From drinks in the frig to snacks that hit the spot for these weary, flight-delayed travelers, we felt well provided for in every way. We'll definitely be returning when the North Bay is in our travel plans again.

Perfect

This place was perfect for our needs. Quiet, private property. My wife and I rented this place to stay at during our visit for a wedding. Had everything we needed. Steve and Sue are gracious host, that supplied us with everything we needed or asked for, all the while respecting our privacy. So glad we booked this place. Would definitely recommend it.

Loved this Property!

I spent more than two weeks here, and I agree with many other reviews: the property is beautiful, peaceful and spacious - as pictured, with large windows (and shades throughout), well-appointed kitchen and laundry, as clean as can be, private and secure. Host is onsite and helpful but not intrusive, and provided a wonderful selection of welcome snacks. Very close to downtown San Rafael. Near the top of a steep hill, but several choices for driving there.

Recently spent 4 nights at this great San Rafael property. Looks exactly as pictured & it was just lovely. Spacious & well equipped. Nice open living area with comfy sleep sofa. Master bedroom was huge with lots of storage. Parking on site. Hosts were very nice & responsive to questions. Highly recommend.

Serenity Above San Rafael

What a delight to arrive to such a charmingly appointed guest house. We had a nightmare flight to the Bay Area so the peace and quiet that met us was sorely needed. And what a treat to find a welcoming note, drinks in the frig, and a great assortment of snacks, which we quickly proceeded to devour. This was the perfect place to come back to after a series of lively reunions. We will most definitely stay again when we return!

Immaculate, spacious and well appoointed

Have just finished my 2nd stay in this Vrbo and will definitely keep coming back. The bedroom is a nice size and the kitchen/dining room/living room space is nicely laid out. The communication with the owners, when needed, is spot but otherwise there is complete privacy. A thumbs up all the way around.

You'll feel at home here.

This apartment was perfect for our stay, well-appointed with interesting decorative features. The owners were attentive and thoughtful. A welcome note and snacks were waiting when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped including spices and coffee. The washer & dryer was a plus and a big bonus for us was the use of the Tesla charger overnight. Loved the original outdoor artwork. San Rafael's location makes it convenient to the city or head north to Muir Woods or wine county.

Great Stay in San Rafael

Don't hesitate to book Steve and Susan's place. It is as beautiful as the pictures. The space is very well equipped for two people. My husband and I stayed for five nights and felt very at home. If you want to cook some of your meals, the kitchen has everything you need. The bed is very comfortable. The location is great for doing a variety of things in the Bay area. My husband and I went to Napa, Muir Wood and Beach, did a tour of San Francisco (we took the Larkspur ferry instead of driving), and spent time in the cute San Rafael downtown area. We also had the privilege to meet Steve and Susan and they are great people.

Peaceful retreat

My friend and I spent a few days in this lovely and very comfortable space. The setting was beautiful and it was a great central location for visiting Muir Woods, Napa, Point Reyes and Tomales Bay. The hosts have created a peaceful retreat for their guests. Highly recommend!

Peaceful retreat on the hillside

On the hillside among the trees was this beautiful maintained guesthouse. It was so comfortable and quiet. Special bonus was the outdoor art and sculptures.

Sweet Magical Nest

We stayed at Sue and Steve's suite for 10 nights. As mentioned in the other reviews, there is lots of beautiful art, stylish furnishings, large windows, and a well-stocked kitchen. The place was very clean, comfortable and peaceful. The hosts were friendly and attentive, while also providing complete privacy. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The most AMAZING vacation rental ever!

There is not enough high praise we can give to the hosts, Sue and Steve. They are so thoughtful and gracious--they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They anticipated our needs but were never intrusive. Their gracious hospitality is beyond words—I’ve never had hosts as thoughtful, gracious, responsive, and accommodating as Sue and Steve. We LOVED the beautiful space--we were immersed in nature (we saw deer walking alongside the property) and beautiful art. It is one of the most beautiful and comfortable vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed at and I've stayed at numerous vacation rentals for work and for leisure travel. We are WOW’d by all that Sue and Steve did to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. We were fortunate to meet them on the day of our departure and they were just as warm and gracious in person as they were in our email and text exchanges. Thank you, Sue and Steve, for making our stay SPECTACULAR!

Gorgeous property and wonderful hosts

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful private cottage in San Rafael. Its location is close to everything in Marin County as well as San Francisco. Well stocked with snacks, bottled water and a welcome note, we appreciated the stellar hospitality.

Beautiful and peaceful

Thank you so much for a lovely stay! It was peaceful and beautiful. We loved the big windows, the decor, the fireplace and all the thoughtful details like snacks and shampoos etc. We'd love to return. Just as a heads up, the roads to get there are a little scary (winding, size of a 1-way but meant for 2-way). But worth navigating for the stay!

Beautiful, spacious, immaculate

We have stayed at many guest properties over the years. The home at 120 Coleman in San Rafael is, far and away, the best. The private apartment is beautifully appointed, immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully supplied. It is situated in a lovely natural setting. Sue and Steve, the homeowners, could not have been more generous and helpful - from lovely welcoming treats to their quick responses when we had a brief internet problem. Parking on site is very convenient. The location is just moments from downtown San Rafael and an easy drive to other sites in Marin. You won’t find a better place to stay.

Magical nest

Awe inspiring beauty in this little gem tucked away in the hills of San Rafael. The hosts were extremely gracious and non intrusive. The property is dotted with some incredible sculptural art pieces and photographs. The on line photos accurately depict the apartment. Highly recommend this magical nest for couples. Will most definitely return.

Lovely home and lovely hosts

Sue’s and Steve’s home is beautiful and comfortable. The hosts were very gracious and welcoming. Marvelous views. We saw a family of deer outside our window. Would highly recommend.
