We stayed at Watermark San Pedro for over 4 days and had a very poor experience from start to finish.
On the first night, our room had a severe mosquito infestation — around 40 mosquitoes upon check-in. This continued throughout our entire stay, day and night. Because of this, we never opened the balcony and were unable to enjoy the beachside/ocean view we specifically booked and paid for.
Cleanliness was also a major issue. The floors were dirty when we arrived, and the pillows, sheets, and towels had visible stains and appeared used. We showed this to housekeeping on the first night, but nothing was properly addressed.
The shower drain did not work and wasn’t fixed until our third day. Housekeeping also entered our room twice while we were still inside, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being on the door and us clearly communicating that we were occupying the room. These issues were reported daily to the front desk, yet there was little to no follow-up or customer service.
Overall, the lack of cleanliness, unresolved maintenance issues, privacy concerns, and poor customer service made us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay. This was not the experience advertised and certainly not worth the price paid.
I would not recommend this property and would strongly suggest management address these issues before hosting future guests.
