It was a beautiful and clean home, with plenty of space, and an absolutely beautiful view of the ocean. My whole family were very happy with it. The hosts also responded to any inquiries in short time.

I've given myself a couple of weeks to write this review because I want to be fair. so, let's start with the pros:The house itself is lovely and spacious, the bedrooms were clean and well appointed, the kitchen in the main house was adequate. Everything that we were told would be there, was. Carlos (local handyman) was great, as was Aida (housekeeper), both were very sweet and kind The cons:* Incomplete check in information. There were several areas of the house, 3 had separate means of entrance. Check in was at 4, I didn't get the info for the 3rd section until after I submitted a message thru Vrbo, all other numbers were unanswered, recieved response after about 8* the main bathroom, door lock was broken, trapping someone in there until we got him out I honestly wouldn't even have written about those, except for the following* the listing has certain things listed as being included, some basic stuff. We reserved for 15 ppl. There are 6 bathrooms total. Toilet paper was listed as included. I contacted the caretaker when we were running low. After reminding the caretaker that this was included, I received a message from Megan that "an unlimited supply" was not included. 6 bathrooms, 2 rolls (12 total) for 15 ppl for 7 days. The math wasn't mathing friends, and I didn't appreciate the snark.* there is a pool, but if anyone in your group has mobility issues, it's not accessible. Finally, we found roaches and signs of bedbugs in the studios, but hadn't seen it till last da

Beautiful view

The view was outstanding! The location was exactly what we wanted. The pool was a little farther than I expected but still only a 5 min car ride or 15 min walk . The pool was wonderful, large and well maintained. Definitely spent many afternoons relaxing there. The villa needed a deep clean but it was overall good. We did not have any wifi nor TV service the entire stay. This made early mornings and evenings tough especially with the kids. We notified the host on the second day but they never figured it out. I asked for a credit once the trip was over as we purchased additional data on our cellular devices but they did not respond. I would stay here again but insist on it being cleaned better and guarantee the wifi works! Luckily we had a great view!

Perfectly located gorgeous property on mountainside with view of the beach and mountains!

We celebrated my 50th birthday with a family reunion of 14 people, adults and kids, at this spacious and comfortable house on the hill. The views are amazing! Big balconies with seating and tables for everyone. The house itself includes large bedrooms with most beds King sized and private bathrooms associated with the rooms. Truly a perfect place for a large group. The only thing we struggled with was water temperature and water pressure. But the property owner was very responsive and sent someone out two times to deal with this. We loved our stay and hope to gather at this place again!

Absolutely gorgeous

We rented this property for my daughter’s sweet 15 and had an amazing experience! The house was nice and clean, felt like we were home and the teens loved being downstairs and have their own space. Everything you could need is within 5 miles from the home. The owner was very helpful when we needed anything and his dog was so sweet and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful Gem in so many ways

Loved this place. Amazing view of the ocean. We were a group of seven couples and each couple got a private room with the most comfortable beds ever! They were amazing beds and pillows. Five couples got a private bath and only two couples shared a bath. It’s a perfect set up for a couples trip and/or family in need of privacy. The ACs all worked well and the quality of stay was 10/10. The only issue for some will be that it’s tucked back in an older neighborhood and walking to the kiosks is not feasible. However, while the neighborhood may seem sketchy it was not. The people were friendly and with a gate you really have total safety and privacy. The pool is an 8-minute walk or two minute drive. It is beautiful and worth the walk/drive. There is ample seating, great space and amenities for your group and the bathrooms are outstanding. The lady that “watches” over the pool fixed us empanadillas one night that were amazing (every bit as good as empanadillas from the kiosks). She also brought us fruit and cups for our drinks. Overall, everyone one of us loved this place. I’ve stayed in 8 different rentals over the years and this quickly became my favorite for the quality of stay, location to El Yunque, the Fajardo catamaran and Luquillo Beach. Don’t let anything scare you. It’s not too hard to find, the hill isn’t too steep, and the pool isn’t too far. And you won’t even miss your own bed or AC or definitely your view at home.

Beautiful views, private pool and close to beach!!

Overall our family of 8 had a wonderful time at this beautiful home in Luquillo. Beautiful stunning views of the hillside and ocean! We spent every morning & evening on the terraces. Each room was private, clean, well equipped & had AC (though not always needed with the breeze). Private pool is the next block over, it is also stunning with a large infinity pool and covered sitting area. You could walk, but there’s a super steep curved hill to get to it. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, kitchen utensils and pots (we did alot of cooking). It is also <0.5mi from the local kioskos (we frequented them for inexpensive local cuisine) & Luquillo beach. Also close to El Yunque and lots of activities. 30 min drive to San Juan. The neighbors were friendly & neighborhood felt safe. We loved our stay!

LIES by OMISSION

The pictures shown are accurate, but there is a lot of stuff omitted. You are so high up in mountains, you can see the ocean, but you can't hear it. You can hear the traffic. Construction is everywhere, less than 50 -100 feet from entrance. Tarps covering mounds of building materials, yellow caution tape and boards covering steps on property, and blocking off areas. Construction debri on both sides of property. Water leaking from someplace outside, so walking down steps to get to rest of house was tricky. Getting to property is almost a death defying gravity climb, avoiding livestock, along the way to the property. (roosters crowing will wake you). It's seems like a very poor economical area. Main house had minimal furniture, so our large family couldn't really gather inside. kids were not safe to play outside. Some of the rails on fence were rusted on bottom, so people were not safe to lean on them. I wish I could submit pictures. TVs did not receive Wi-Fi downstairs so they were useless. The pool area was beautiful. It's not in walking distance of the house and the drive is steep and treacherous. Owner was aggressive, disrespectful, and antagonistic and shouted obscenities' to us when reminding us of the quiet hours. We apologized and immediately stopped talking on the porch and went to bed. He swore at us and threatened to kick us out of "his house". That was followed by a text message reinforcing that an hour later. I was appalled!

My birthday trip

The house was amazing and walking on the the back deck for the first time and seeing the view of the oceans was breath taking. The rooms were all big, comfortable and decorated well. The accommodations were excellent. The best pet of the house is the pool and the sweetest dog next door

Beautiful Views

It was nice to start the morning looking at the stunning views all around the property. Stan was very nice and any concerns he address them right away. We had the whole family over kids and adults and if we needed some time quiet time there was enough space to move. The pool area is very nice as well we were able to have dinner a couple times. It was hard to say goodbye if we are ever in the area again we will definitely look this place up. Thank you for letting us stay here everyone really loved the place.

BEST VACATION EVER!!!

I am excited to leave this review. the beauty of the island is accentuated as soon as you walk through the front door! you see that beautiful ocean down the hallway! the house was perfect! everybody had enough space. the roads leading to the house make for a cool adventure! 5 minutes from the house you have a plethora of good restaurants. supermarket was another 2 mins down the road. owners were very attentive. DEFINATELY a 5star property!!! I want to thank don Roberto, dona Nilsa and Mr. Stan for sharing their house with us. TBH I wasn't going to leave a review because I wanted to be able to rent this property again, but this is a diamond in a diamond and I think I'll be lucky to get this property once others see the that view!

Enchanted

The owner was very easy to reach even at midnight/1:00am when we learned that GPS/Google maps failed us, but once we found the home we were completely enchanted. Especially when we woke up to the most spectacular views you could imagine! The house is huge and beautiful. We loved it!! One thing needed are at least 2 sets of keys. One set made it inconvenient for everyone to come in and out at different times as you need keys even to lock the front door from the inside. The neighborhood is very charming and the people are super friendly. There are stray dogs in the neighborhood, but they are chill and loved to be fed. The people say the dogs belong to everyone. At first we thought we were in a bad neighborhood because many of the houses are in need of maintenance/repair and some are completely abandoned, but the properties are kept clean and tidy. I walked the hilly neighborhood just about everyday and fell in love with the vibe and charm. The pool is gorgeous, but you absolutely cannot get there on foot. Loading up everyone in the car to go to the pool was an inconvenience. There is parking but it’s very bumpy and difficult to get in and out of. We did not use the pool. It took us a couple of days to really understand the enchantment of this location. I will return and when I do, this is the house I want to stay in. Just wish they would refinish the downstairs and maybe add a pool to the actual property.

I’d love to return!!

The photos do not do this property justice. Absolutely stunning views! There was a little miscommunication about when we were scheduled to arrive. So we had great conversation with Roberto while Nilsa cleaned and provided us with linens. What lovely people they are!! Additionally, we did not expect the narrow two way incline leading to another surprising vertical incline of a driveway. With a passenger van we thought perhaps a couple of jeeps would have been more appropriate Fortunately, a few of us are very experienced drivers that could maneuver the turns and inclines well. The location was worth every kind of effort it took!! Although we had hoped the new pool was closer to the house we stayed in, it was also worth the drive down and around to the street it was on!! It was the most magnificent pool and lounge area ever, we didn’t want to leave!! Puerto Rico has so much to do, we did not have enough time to do everything we wished to, but this beautiful property was beyond our expectations and I loved every moment while I was there!! I wish you every blessing in all your endeavors and pray for all of your continued success for you and the people of Isla de Encanto ❤️

Exceeded our Expectations!

This is one gorgeous rental, from the moment we drove up to the house and went in it blew us away. Pictures most time are old or not actually what you see when you get there. This property you get what you saw online and more. The rooms were all nice and clean and had beautiful and comfortable furniture in it. The outside furniture was outstanding, there was a super grill and table out there. We had a cookout and dinner out there and it was a wonderful family event. The view of the ocean and beach was breathtaking and we were able to look down at the beach were we went later and spent an afternoon. You can walk to the beach but we had elderly so we drove less than 5 minutes away. The owner Stan checked in with us on day one and was available for questions by phone if needed. The security of the place was also a plus with a secured automatic opening gate and security cameras. We spent 6 days in this wonderful rental and are planning to try and make this a yearly event. We look forward to rent with this property again.
