Friendly staff and clean rooms. I learned that rooms are not serviced daily, but that was ok with us. It was easy for us to ask for clean towels whenever we needed extra towels. Parking is tight so I recommend not renting a large car.

Fun area.

Great location, only a short walk to beach and lots of restaurants. Room (suite) was clean but dated. Comfortable bed and access to Netflix. Overall, I enjoyed it. Definitely a decent choice for first-timers to Puerto Rico.

Not sure what the hype is all about for this place. Sure the area is good. Pretty convenient and close to the beach. But it ends there. The rooms are not as functional as they can be. For example, no shelf in the shower, no toilet paper holder, and no drawers to place belongings. The pool was also not functioning for use when we were there which was very disappointing. Truthfully, I don’t even know if I would want to hang out at the pool with all the noise outside and a huge massive crane dangling over my head. There is constant construction next-door, which may be disruptive to those who are light sleepers. Walls are pretty thin that I was able to hear quite clearly the action happening next-door. For the price of this accommodation, I found it to be very mediocre.

My boyfriend and I took a trip at the end of January to get away from the cold. We stayed at HiBird and loved it! We arrived a few hours before check in and they let us drop our bags while we got a drink down the street at a bar right on the beach. The location is great, one block from the beach where they provide lounge chairs and umbrellas. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance as well. Hector at the front desk was so helpful, whatever we asked about he had a recommendation that was always what we were looking for! Our room was very nice, had a full fridge, a cooktop, and a microwave. The rooftop pool isn’t huge but nice for lounging and cooling off (and if you go up for a late night soak in the hot tub there was a little cat that comes by that is very friendly-I wanted to bring it home!) Every other floor has either laundry or an ice machine. The parking lot is a little tight but there was always a spot for our rental. We plan on making HiBird our choice hotel when we visit San Juan!
