The room was clean, bed was very comfortable. I am a terrible sleeper and I like a firm mattress with pillowtop which is exactly what they had. I had an issue with m y first room as it had a connecting door to another room where some young folks were kind of loud. They easiily moved me to a new one without a connecting door. Word of advice: if you are a light sleeper, you may want a room that either does not have a window or is higher up, 5th floor? , as the traffic noise can be loud. San Jose is a busy city. Very pleasant staff, free breakfast: eggs, granola yogurt, juice, fresh fruit. good enough for me!

The room appears clean. The bathroom was spotless but the carpet is the usual motel carpet. One of the lightswitches did not work and the small hallway had a light that was motion sensored. You could make it to the bathroom without turning on but it could be irritating if you left something in your suitcase and didn't want to wake your partner. The front desk staff was super helpful in many ways. We left our rental car in the parking lot and the key with the staff and the car company picked it up! What a great deal, Now we can take a cab to the airport as our car company, Adobe , also a bunch of friendly helpful people, is not at the airport at all. The hotel staff also helped us switch rooms as our other room had an adjoining door to the next room which, from the sound of it,was full of 20 somethings yucking it up. I will admit I am the worst sleeper around so didn't want to hear them and we got a room on the top floor with no adjoining door. Also, the first room, 3rd floor, had a balcony , which seems nice but this hotel is downtown in the busiest part of the city. So the noise is a bit too much for my neurotic bad sleeping. 5th floor room had windows but they did not open so less noise. Very comfortable bed with the best combination of firm with a soft pillow top. They do have shampoo, etc.

Modern, clean and spacious room. Very well located, within 1 block of the center of town. We stayed for one night, but did not have hot water. They attempted to restart the water heater, but apparently didn’t work. An inconvenience that I hope was temporary and the next guests did not have that problem.

Amazing front desk and breakfast Staff. So professional and welcoming. Everything was spotless! The entire Hotel was extremely clean - Spotless!! Breakfast was fabulous and cooked to order. Would absolutely recommend this hotel. Loved the simple tranquility. It is truly the calm oasis in the heart of the city they promise. Close to market, bus station, and restaurants.
