We had a great stay here! The views were incredible and the pool was amazing! It is definitely a longer walk to the beach but we had a car so it was no worries at all. It is an apartment not the whole unit as we thought the listing said but it didn’t really matter to us we were happy with our stay with Sherry! Thanks again!

Sherry was an outstanding host. The property is just beautiful and very comfortable. The relaxing pool in the evening watching the sunsets was just the best. And hearing the howlers in the trees near by was quite exciting. The property is in a very quiet neighborhood but still very close to town.

Villa Veranera is a special place that makes a person feel at home immediately. The suite was perfect for us. The panoramic view is absolutely stunning!! Sherry’s beautifully landscaped property is home to a myriad of birds which we thoroughly enjoyed! The pool is lovely and private. Sherry is a gracious, welcoming host and it was a pleasure to meet her. Pura Vida!

Very nice location

Sherry and Larry were great hosts and the apartment was a perfect fit. There are beautiful views of the ocean from both the window and balcony, and the neighborhood is quiet, which we really appreciated. It's within minutes of the Samara business district where you can find just about everything a visitor needs. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect stay!

Great apartment with a great veranda with a spectacular view of the ocean. A lovely private pool with jungle and ocean views.Great accommodating hosts who are friendly and kind. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well appointed. It is located close to town and up on a hill.

Beautiful View

Stunning view and incredibly friendly hosts! We really enjoyed our stay here. The VRBO app did show the house’s location to be very close to downtown Samara… but it was actually about a 5-10 minute drive. Other than the location being a little different than expected, everything else exceeded expectations! Would stay again!

Quiet spot with best views to enjoy Samara

The view!!! We really enjoyed getting to know the area from above. We had views for miles, yet it was a quick ride to 2 beaches. The apartment had everything we needed and the hosts were very nice and available for our needs. You can't go wrong with this place!

Beautiful views and pool

Clean, well equipped and spacious one bedroom apartment. There are great outdoor spaces and wonderful pool. Larry and Sherry are friendly, kind and have great recommendations. We always love out stays here and are excited to return next year!

Wonderful retreat

We LOVED staying here. It was a nice reprieve from the town centre and offered a completely different view being up so high. We did book it because it was walking distance to the beach, but I wouldn't really say it is as it's a pretty dusty dirt road a long way down, so the way back up would be pretty intense.

Lovely Safe Feeling Location

This was the perfect place to escape the crowded beach of Samara, get a lovely reset and then go back down to enjoy the restaurants - sunrises and sunset horseback riding! :)

We loved our stay in Samara. Sherry and Larry are the absolute best hostess and host. We enjoyed “happy hour” with them on a couple of evenings. The views are amazing and the people of Samara are very friendly and kind!

The view shown in the on-line picture from the pool was taken before the trees grew and obstructed the view. The view from the balcony was awesome and private.The infinity pool was not flowing and the pool did not circulate the water during the day. The pool was clean and maintained 2x weekly. The air conditioning worked extremely well.A cleaner came once during our 10 day stay however the ceiling fan was gross and the walls need washing and where the wall and ceiling meet needs to be vacuumed and washed ... bugs, spider webs.Our host was very lovely. She respected our privacy, we felt like we had the property to ourselves, she drove us to town on our first day and showed us where to shop for groceries, best bakery, bank, taxi and doctor if needed. She also drove us to the neighbouring beach one morning as she was going that way to visit a friend. She picked us up on her return. We felt she went over and above our expectations.We would definitely return as the accommodations, town and beach are amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa! Sherry & Larry were wonderful hosts and so accommodating. We had everything we needed especially for a trip to the beach! With its spectacular view, Villa Veranera immediately stood out to us. We booked it for the view, its proximity to Samara Beach, and positive reviews, and our stay exceeded our expectations. Normally the thought of the host living right on site is kind of off putting to us, but I really loved the communication with Sherry before arriving, so I felt relaxed about it. Sherry was the perfect host. She is very relaxed, friendly, and was there if we needed her. This place is a chefs kiss. The view is immaculate, the pool is adorable, and the place has everything you need. After dining in town, we spent most nights relaxing on the gorgeous balcony (on rocking chairs!) chatting away, drinking our Imperials and listening to the sounds of nature. Every morning we woke to a symphony of birds backed by the roaring calls of howler monkeys from the valley below, returning to the porch with a fresh cup of coffee and a camera, hoping to capture some of the action.We were a little apprehensive about the uphill drive to the villa and were thrilled to have our little Suzuki Jimny for the job. As we became familiar with the route, we came to love the drive into town and the location was ideal for setting off on various day trips. It was really easy and quick! We were so happy to be staying at a place not right in town so we could get away. We honestly felt like it was our home for seven days. I wish it was! We WILL be back!

Simply perfect

We loved everything about our stay: the private pool, the view of the sunset and sunrise from the balcony, the howler monkeys, the location and more. The kitchen was fully equiped, the bed was comfortable and the property was really clean. We did not want to leave.

Magical Tropical Perch To the Sea

Magical location with the best perch to enjoy the spectacular view. Better than the pictures! Sherry and Larry were so kind and welcoming and the villa was perfectly set up with lots of space. Even the kitchen has a view. We enjoyed walking to the beach and back every morning and then exploring the rest of the area during the day. Beautiful!
