We recently stayed at this cottage after the holidays, and overall, it was a nice experience. The cottage is brand new, extremely well laid out, and exudes a charming and functional atmosphere. The shower is notably spacious, and the presence of a fireplace added a cozy touch to our stay.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The combined washer/dryer didn't seem to be functioning properly, and we weren't provided with detergent, requiring us to purchase our own. The yard, though large, lacked privacy due to its proximity to the main home, which is also available for nightly rentals. This shared space led to some confusion among renters, as new arrivals mistakenly thought our cottage was the owners' residence, and knocked on our door at night with questions. It wasn’t clear in the description of this cottage or the main house that you are sharing a property, so close you can see in the windows, with other nightly renters.
Additionally, discovering that the main house permits dogs affected the utility of the yard for us, as it unexpectedly transformed into a shared dog-friendly space. The neighbors along the fence had vocal dogs as well, limiting the usability of half the yard for our pets.
In summary, if you don't mind the lack of privacy, this cottage offers a charming and well-designed retreat. Just be aware of the shared space dynamics and potential noise from neighboring dogs.
