Significant Check in Difficulty (Read their response before booking).
After giving us a code for entry the day before our stay, we were given a second code and told the door lock had been giving them trouble. When we arrived on a Friday evening, neither code worked. We waited over an hour to enter. The "maintenance man" arrived without a key and used a credit card to break into the property. I wrote to say that it was a "joke" to wait an hour for entry, to be let in by a credit card when there was a known door problem. This was their response:
"We are sorry there was a problem with the door and it wouldn't work. Unfortunately the best laid plans can sometimes fail. I am not sure if you are a homeowner but I am sure you have had something fail on your home at the most unhelpful time. We had everyone we could get available to you to help fix your issue. To wait an hour well after our business hours are over on a Friday night is actually not that bad. If it was your personal home, probably couldn't get someone out within an hour to help. Arriving late in the evening is always difficult because if anything goes wrong, it's hard to get a hold of someone. These are residences, not hotels so the same rules that would apply in a home apply here. I hope you can appreciate that everyone did everything they could to get you inside the home and we definitely do not consider ourselves a joke at all and are very sorry there was a problem with your lock and I hope you will not let that 1 hour delay ruin your whole trip and you can reset today and enjoy...
