Quiet get away

Nice short walk to the beach. The local residents near by were very friendly. The area was so quiet and relaxing which is what we were hoping for.

Nice beach house

It was a very nice house, kitchen had lots of supplies. Rooms were nice. The reason for 4 stars is the pool area chairs were broken. House is in a great location , short walk to beach!

Relaxing!

Fun in the pool. Beautiful beach. Awesome sand dunes. Great local fishing! Book it and enjoy. We took the ferry from South Carolina here, best times adventure good times so much fun! Beyond cool :-)

Our family had a great time. We loved the hot tub and pool. We also loved the Pac-Man machine and the Air Hockey Table. There were a ton of books upstairs with hammock outside to relax. Super short walk to the beach. The dunes weren’t awful to climb either compared to some other homes we’ve stayed at. Overall had an excellent vacation.

We loved staying at the Pamlico Paradise house so much that we didn`t want to leave. OBR takes great care of their properties. Check-in and out was seamless. We highly recommend this realty company and this location. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We had a great time!

We had a great stay! The house was clean but a few crumbs and stuff were left which was shocked to see. Plenty of bedrooms and places to hangout! The hot tub was amazing. The pool was smaller than we thought and it was freezing! Other than that it was a decent walk to the beach ans the weather was great!

A very lovely stay!

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay here. The house and location were fantastic and we enjoyed all the amenities offered including the bike and umbrella delivery! The 2 minute walk to the beach was wonderful. It was necessary to purchase paper goods, towels and blankets due to COVID-19 which we were not prepared for. We would love to return next year! Thank you so very much!

Great beach house!

House was perfect for our family. Ocean views were great on top deck. Love the quietness of Rodanthe. Walking distance to several restaurants. I was going to book house again for next year but price went up almost 3x times the price for 2025. If that’s the case I’ll rent somewhere else.

Nice stay, close to beach

Overall it was a good stay. 5 minute walk to beach. Nice beach view from top deck. Beds and bathrooms nice and clean. Could use a deep clean, ceiling fans, dining room chairs wiped, kitchen drawers cleaned out. Living room furniture in dire need of replacing. Pool is small but very nice hangout space. Pool and pool area nice and clean. House is as described. Would recommend.

Overall four stars!

One of the nicer homes we have stayed at during our many years of vacationing in the Outer Banks. Great location from from the crowds in the Corolla and Duck areas but still close enough to Avon and Kitty Hawk area where there is plenty to do see and eat. The home was one long block from a great beach so an easy walk and the beach is not crowded like the ones more north. The house is a nice 5 bedroom with great beds and ample shower space. Nice kitchen and eating spaces with fun stuff for the kids. Nice pool be it a bit small but serves its purpose. Overall a very comfortable house and no complaints there.

Home away from Home!

One thing I really loved was how warm and welcoming the home was, with its beautiful blue color décor, comfortable couches and beds. The couches appeared new, and we loved having the space to lounge and watch movies at night. The bedrooms accommodated everyone in our party! The beds were comfy with plenty of sheets and pillows. There was so much to do at the house, with board games, Pac Man video game, hot tub, swimming pool, fire bit, volleyball net, and hammock (that was my favorite spot!). Very close to the beach, and fun activities to do around the area. I highly recommend this home. We have already made plans to return next summer. :)

Nice views of the ocean

Even though the house sits back from the ocean, you are still able to have fantastic views of the ocean from this house. It is equipped with just enough kitchen essentials and appliances. One downfall is only having 1 refrigerator as we are used to having another on 1st floor. The pool area is separated from the house which is also different than we are used to. The hot tub is on the 2nd floor but only able to be accessed through 2 of the bedrooms so it might have been better to be in the pool area. The top deck views are breathtaking! Overall a great place to stay and a short walk to the beach.

Beautiful house with great views

Sunrise on the back deck and sunset on the front deck. There is not a house directly behind this one so you have a beautiful view of the ocean. About a two block walk to the ocean (if you walk down the street that the house is one, you will need to climb over a dune). But if you go one block over, to the pier (parking available) you can walk right on to the beach. House was fully stocked. House was clean when we checked in. We found out the last day, but best grocery option is the Liberty gas station about a mile before the house if you’re coming from the north.

Enjoyable stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The inside was very clean and ready for us. 5 min walk from the beach was great. The pool is small but good and the hot tub was great. Loved the hammocks and porch swing. The outside had a random loaf of bread on a front porch and corn cobs on a back balcony, and cigarette butts all over the grass and outdoor shower. Staff was made aware and was supposed to send someone out, but I didn't hear from anyone except housekeeping two days later. Definitely recommend bringing your own beach towels and blankets as they don't stock any. Also didn't have kitchen scissors or kitchen towels, which could been helpful as we ate in almost every meal. Overall, good experience!

We are familiar with Rodanthe and the homes in the area. Unfortunately, when we arrived at this house it was not thoroughly cleaned, dust build up, bathrooms looked hardly touched, bath tubs drained slowly and the house smelt like throw up/vomit. We had drove from VA to SC to my Father in laws funeral then to Rodanthe for vacation. So we were ready to get there and get settled to relax.On a positive side, the rooms were nice and spacious and the beach is very close and walking distance. But the pool is small and the hot tub access is a burden as you can only access it through two of the bedroom doors that lead outside to the porch area it sits on. The photo online shows the pool area open and well kept up. It does not look like that at all, there is 3 old lounge chairs worn and dingy which we did not use and tree/shrubs all grown up around the fence and onto the patio area of the pool. We love the Rodanthe area and this location is great but improvements can be made to this property in the future.

We like the fresh seafood in the area. But was very disappointed in the house when we got there. It was very dirty! Food all over stove and microwave. Floors not clean. Food under beds in closets. Piles of sand behind bedroom doors. Showers were not clean. I don’t think they wash the comforter. Chairs to sit in by pool were broken!! Very disappointed! Won’t be back to that house or any other if they don’t do any better than that.

Great Location / Needs Better Cleaning Service

The home was the perfect size for our party of 8. The location is perfect - 1 block over from the Pier, with multiple local grocery stores within a few blocks. The home does need some maintenance, as some screens are torn (preventing us from opening those windows which would have been nice!), Blinds broken and disgusting Shower Curtains still hanging,(even though there were previous comments about them) . The biggest issue was that some of the rails on the TOP Balcony are loose - the management company should be checking these on a monthly basis to avoid injuries! Last- who ever they have hired to clean is NOT doing the job - there is food under the couch, under the cushions of the couch, etc. The owner had replaced the broken pool furniture and that was appreciated. Based on how dirty the home was and previous comments regarding this - we would NOT consider renting from this Property Management Company again

Loved the house but could be cleaner

Overall we had a wonderful stay!! The walk to the beach was not bad at all, we have small children so that was very important. Location is really nice and views are beautiful. The house did offer extensive kitchen supplies which was a major plus. The downfall, the cleanliness of the property. The shower had hair left in it and none of the drains in the tubs would drain and one of the tubs had a broken drain. The hot tub cover was not in the best condition which did not inhibit anything from our stay but should proabably be replaced. There were also tons of random gummy bears in the downstairs bedrooms, not a deal breaker but kind of gross at the same time. The pool was also much smaller then we originally thought, again not a deal breaker, and we did enjoy it but just wanted to include for anyone looking at the property. We had 7 kids who enjoyed the small pool daily. Yes I would reccommend this property to others, but I suggest the company look into the few repairs I listed and work on doing a better job cleaning the interior of the home.
