The kids loved the pool and waterslide. It's not a waterpark, but the waterslide does set it apart from your standard hotel pool. Basketball hoop was broken in the pool. Everything was clean and overall I'd definitely recommend this hotel. There were a few things that I think could be improved, but they are all pretty minor. First, the workout room was super hot. The thermostat said it was 80F in there, so hot before I even started working out. Also the poolside rooms I would say are not worth the extra money over a regular room. I was thinking it'd be more like a sliding glass door where the kids walk out and go. But really it's still a hallway then through the gate. Our room was a poolside suite and the room was very big and spacious. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was OK but most things were a bit cold. Overall a positive experience and I'd recommend staying at this hotel if you're in the area and want the kids to have a little extra fun in the pool area.

My recent stay at Best Western Rochester Hotel Mayo Clinic Area was unfortunately disappointing. Upon arrival, I was met with rather unfriendly staff who seemed uninterested in providing a welcoming experience. This set the tone for the rest of the visit. To add to the frustration, there was a lack of bath towels in the room, requiring us to call down for more, which took quite a while to be delivered. Additionally, the hot tub, which we were looking forward to using, was out of order the second day of our stay with no clear timeline for when it would be fixed. Another issue was the temperature throughout the hotel. Most common areas were hot and humid, making it quite uncomfortable to relax outside of our room. Thankfully, we could at least regulate the temperature in our room, but it was unpleasant everywhere else. Overall, the lack of hospitality, missing amenities, and uncomfortable environment left much to be desired. I hope the hotel takes these points into consideration to improve the guest experience moving forward.

Checked out after one night, left a bag of clothes on accident. Called to have them sent to us. Offered to pay for shipping obviously because it was my fault. They some how can’t find them.

Room had no AC. Repair person arrived around 6pm, had to leave the room. Still not working! Then finally offered a different room after several hours of inconvenience! Tried to call the hotel and no answer any time of day or night.

There was constant noise from the slamming door to the outside. I could hear every cough and sneeze from our neighbors through the very flimsy adjoining door. The breakfast was lukewarm. We will not be back.
