Mar, arena y serenidad en Spooky Channel

Spooky Channel Villa lleva el nombre de uno de los famosos sitios de buceo y esnórquel de Roatán, situado a poca distancia de nuestro muelle privado. Bucear y pescar los botes lo recogerá justo al final del muelle. Tanto la casa como el muelle tienen duchas de agua dulce al aire libre para su conveniencia.

La Villa está justo en la playa en la costa norte de la isla, que destaca la agradable brisa y las increíbles puestas de sol. ¡Las hamacas y las cómodas sillas en el patio ofrecen el lugar perfecto para comer, relajarse y tomar siestas! Una parrilla de carbón y una piscina de agua fría también mejoran el patio.

La villa cuenta con dos amplias habitaciones con camas king y baños separados. Un colchón de aire de tamaño completo también está disponible. El salón tiene un televisor de pantalla plana con reproductor de DVD. Se proporcionan Internet y WiFi. La cocina está totalmente equipada con estufa de gas, microondas, licuadora y cafetera, y tiene un juego completo de vajilla, tazas, utensilios, etc.

Una lavadora y secadora está disponible para los huéspedes que se quedan 10 días o más. Los huéspedes que se alojen por períodos más cortos también pueden pagar una tarifa nominal por su uso.

Si bien no es necesario un automóvil (se puede acceder fácilmente a los taxis y autobuses al final del camino), hay un camino de entrada directamente detrás de la Villa. Tiendas, restaurantes y bares están a unos 10 minutos. También hay algunos lugares nuevos a poca distancia a través de la playa.

Spooky Channel resort is amazing, right on the beach with a beautiful dock. A quick swim to the channel entrance and you can see the coral and sea life. I saw a beautiful spotted Eagle Ray every day for 4 days. Terrific layout, large deck. Terrific!

Very comfortable, lovely setting, just as advertised.

This was a nice location, very quiet yet only a few minutes drive to dive shops, restaurants, groceries and other shopping. We were very happy with this home and will stay here again when we return to Roatan.

Just what I was looking for

Great spot on the west end of the island. It’s close to everything but very private at the same time. Rental came equipped with everything one needs to enjoy a great vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place

This house is wonderful! The snorkeling is beautiful at the reef, just a short swim away. Chris the owner and Vanessa the property manager were easy to deal with and took care of things promptly.

Absolute Paradise

Everything about this property, the owner, and manager was perfect. Very short drive to anywhere. We had everything we needed or wanted right at the house. Snorkel equipment and chairs provided. This is a must stay at place. We can't wait to come back.

Great private location in Roatan

Sunnyside is a great location. This was our 3rd trip to Roatan and we stayed in a smaller house nearby the last time so we knew the area. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and being right on the ocean was spectacular. I loved sitting in the hammock on the deck with my beverage of choice nearby and listening to the water.

Quiet and private

This is a nice property in a quiet area right on the water but needs some TLC. When we areives, there was a dirty mop on the porch as well as old nails and chipping paint.

Great option!

We loved our stay! The location was easy. The snorkeling at the dock was amazing. The house was perfect. I just don't love having to check in and out with a person. Contactless is my preference but literally other than that minor inconvenience, it was a great place to stay.

Great winter getaway!

We loved this place. Very quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views of the bay. Snorkeling on the reef was a so easy - just a short swim off the end of a private dock. And all the gear was provided! For the best experience, you really need a car if you stay here. We loved driving all over the island. Venessa was great and everything was easy and we felt well-attended. I highly recommend this place!!

Excellent stay. Internet was fast. Cable tv for at night was excellent. Beach was beautiful. Snorkeling off the beach was close only negative is you had to swim across a very busy channel. House itself was well equipped ,clean and comfortable. A/C in bedrooms was nice .

Fun house on a beautiful quite beach

After a week of non-stop diving, we looked for a beach house to relax for a few days before heading home. Spooky Chanel house was perfect! The house was fun and well stocked. The beach was lovely and the snorkeling easy access (swim from the dock) and very good. The neighborhood is quiet, yet just a short drive to great restaurants. The house was very safe - fortresslike with heavy locks and window grids. We would happily return in the future.

Perfect for a family with kids

This place is a hidden gem! We stayed here with our two young boys and they loved the beach and dipping pool! The house was perfect for a family with kids. We felt very safe the entire time and enjoyed meeting the neighbors. We saw a starfish and a few fish under the pier. My only criticism would be that the pier is in need of repairs but that is supposed to be done soon. All in all, it was the perfect stay for us to relax and enjoy time together as a family in an unbelievably beautiful setting.

We enjoyed every moment at this beautiful home at Sandy Bay. The house, being located on the beach, being surrounded by palm trees and the warm breeze, the dock, the amazing reef right off the dock where we snorkeled every day, the awesome neighbors, the sunsets, the sunrises, the dinners we cooked after catching tuna right in front of the house, the help we received from the house manager Vanessa, was incredibly perfect. We hope to return again soon! Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us !

Great place to stay in Sandy Bay

Spent a week in this perfect oceanfront villa. Nothing is lacking: well-equipped, well-maintained, outstanding water's edge location. We ate, read, hammocked on the porch, snorkeled to the very close reef, enjoyed the dock to watch the sunset. The beach here is quiet: some horseback riders, fishermen, kids/families walking along the sandy shore. Recommend this villa for all ages looking for a peaceful vacation, yet near many good restaurants and island activities (don't miss the adjacent dolphin preserve for a swim with the beautiful beasts.) We had a rental car (not cheap) to enable searching out the fun stops and best eats; without it, our stay would have been more limited to the villa.

Celebrating our 50th on Spooky Channel

The house was very accurately represented in the listing. All features were very good. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The deck was enormous, we ate breakfast and lunch there every day that we didn't go out. Access to the dock and snorkeling was simple and straightforward. Security was excellent. Vanessa was very thorough checking us in and always accessable if we needed help. We experienced NO problems with bugs despite some earlier comments I had seen!

Pure Heaven

We were blessed to be staying at Sunnyside in June. The house is perfect. So peaceful but about a 10 min. ride to town. The house had everything we needed including snorkel gear (but we brought our own). Breakfast on the covered veranda was a perfect way to begin our day. The two bedrooms were air conditioned and if you left your bedroom doors open, it cooled off the rest of the house nicely. Snorkeling was awesome. Just a short swim off the dock and the reef was right there. Vanessa was amazing. She set up some trips and a spa day for us. We had a wonderful relaxing week and will definitely e back soon.

We had a lovely stay.

The property is as described. Vanessa was quick to answer questions. Chris was also quick to answer questions. We had no problem checking in. The porch stayed shaded all day. There is a fan in the bed room, if you need it for the porch. The bed was very comfortable. The house has character. I thought the kitchen was charming. The whole house has island charm. The Reef is within a short distance from the house. The house is in a very quiet area. I'm glad I chose the house.

Beautiful Setting

This property was perfect for low key, out-of-the- touristy madness relaxation. We 4 sisters in our 70's enjoyed being right on the beach to watch the waves, birds, & sunsets. A couple of us snorkeled using the equipment supplied. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to prepare some meals. It was easy to get a taxi from the nearby main road to go to the West End. We also easily beach walked to a couple of restaurants.. We never needed to use the bedroom air conditioning as the open windows & ceiling fans kept us comfortable. The biggest improvement we'd suggest is a thorough cleaning and/or painting of the louvered kitchen cupboard doors which we recognize must be a challenge to keep clean when multiple guests and sea air are continuously impacting them. We highly recommend this VRBO.

40th aniversary

Older, but unique and nice house, accurate description. Great location for ocean access and snorkeling. Two suite bedrooms worked well for two couples. Great air conditioning for bedrooms, but a little warm and humid inside otherwise. Host and property manger are great to work with. We were glad for a rental car since we frequently ate out. Unfortunately, one of the ladies in our group was attacked by a loose guard dog while walking right next to the ocean near the house. It was traumatic, with multiple deep bite wounds. It was explained to us that this is very rare, however we learned that some locals cary sticks, mace, or even knives while walking, and seldom go out at night. Guard dogs, pibulls, etc are pretty much a requirement for local residents, to deal with crime. This house does have excellent security, and we felt safe inside at night and outside during the day.We did enjoy walking along the beach together, but with sticks. Very good snorkeling .. lots of reef fish, eels, turtles, small squid, rays, barracuda, big tarpon .. spooky chanel was fun.

Amazing stay over the holidays 2019

Location, location, location. We have rented many houses through HomeAway in Europe, Hawaii and other locations in the US. Our experience with renting this home did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The description of the property is spot on. The private dock that allows easy access to the reef was totally amazing. Best snorkeling ever - and we have been to many places in Hawaii and the Caribbean. We used the house equipment and it was in great shape and very clean. We were able to meet the property owner, Chris, as we were checking in. She was wonderful in showing us around the property and giving a lot of great tips to make our stay perfect. The property manager was attentive and helpful when we needed her - which was not much. We cooked many meals at home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were functional and clean. I enjoyed using the outdoor shower. Access to the West End for restaurants and cute shops was very close - not quite walking distance, but a ten minute drive. Also fairly close to get to the supermarket. The house is very comfortable with all of the amenities - but still felt like we were very "off the grid". That said, the satellite cable and wifi worked great. There are a few houses close by, but still felt that it was very private. The folks in the nearby houses were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing location for snorkeling! Perfect patio for enjoying evenings and watching sunsets.

Let me start with this is an amazing location and overall great rental. Perfect 2 bedroom master suites with plenty of room. Very well stocked kitchen with almost everything you need for cooking. Plenty of towels for home use and beach use. A local phone is provided with the house and comes in handy as well as piece off mind in the event of an emergency. The sulphur smell when using the hot water was very strong during the entire stay. Plenty of drinking water was available.The water pressure wasn't great and the shower heads in the bathrooms as well as the outdoor shower are in need of replacement. Light switches around the house might be dated and are at times difficult to operate. Some of the lights (porch and living room) still blinked (strobed) after being turned off. This home also does not have a generator which caused some discomfort the three times the power went out. The power was only out each time 20-45 minutes so not having a generator wasn't the end of the world. The dock used by the Sunnyside residents was a great addition. You can not swim from the beach of the house due to the turtle grass. This seemed to be a issue for most of the island. Use the dock to get past the grass and shorten the swim to the reef. The small bridge (just before the house) you have to go over and the parking space at the house is tight and might be difficult for a larger van type vehicle to maneuver. While this property has some minor updating and maintenance issues, it's and amazing property, perfect location half way between Eldons grocery store and west end. You will enjoy the stay and being in paradise.
