The host was very kind, and the place itself is clean and quiet. That said, I do think the listing is a little misleading. It’s located in a more remote area and you’ll need to drag your luggage down a fairly long path with grass, cobblestones, and moldy figs all over the ground. The listing says you get daily cleaning services, which is not the case. The bed Is also extremely uncomfortable. There was no wash cloths or conditioner available. There are no typical services—guests are asked to take out their trash daily, and there isn’t any cleaning service during your stay. All of this would have been completely fine if it had been advertised more clearly. If you’re looking for a quiet, tucked-away retreat far from everything, this could be a great fit. If you would like daily cleaning and more amenities, a hotel would be much better.

We stayed in May 2025, in the downstairs triple room. Its a lovely, spacious modern room that has everything you need including, fridge, kettle, coffee machine. Note the garden area is only available to the upstairs family room. Lovely location out of cinque terra which was nice as the villages can get really busy. The local restaurants are really good too. The bus to Manarola was reliable once we worked out the timetable, a and b operate on different days of the week! You can walk to Manarola and Corniglia, easier to walk there than back up!! The host was really helpful and available on WhatsApp for the whole of our stay and recommended restaurants. Really pleased we stayed there.

We had a lovely stay at the Garden. The room was very comfortable and the large outdoor patio was a huge bonus. The Garden is well located above Cinque Terre w bus service steps away.

We had a lovely stay at the garden. And our host was very kind with fast responses and recommendations! Easy to get to manarola and other towns via bus and train. The garden is right next to the bus to manarola. Our room was clean and updated! Would recommend:)

Very Nice! We enjoyed our stay at The Garden. The apartment was comfortable, nicely decorated, and just right for our party of 3. Keta was a lovely host! When we had questions, she was quick to respond to ensure that we had a wonderful visit while in the Cinque Terre area. Volastra ended up being just the right place for us to stay during our visit. We would stay here again!

The Garden is the perfect place to stay in Cinque Terra! It is quiet, quaint, and very clean! The location is also perfect! It is easy to get to the different towns. I highly recommend this property! The host is so kind and sweet… she provides perfect instructions to access the property and for parking. We loved our stay! 💕

The Garden is a beautiful quiet place to unwind and relax. We had a beautiful Terrance with a table, lounging chairs, beautiful flowers and greenery which was impeccable. I never stayed in a place so clean and newly renovated. It was beautifully decorated. The air-conditioning worked very well. The owner of the property is the most helpful and caring person. Contacting her was a breeze. Anything you need help with she was there with a quick response She recommended restaurants in the area and restaurants in other areas. The location was pretty good. A 10 minute ride by bus (which is a minute walking distance away) brings you to Manarola (one of the cinque terre). We rented a car and drove to Monterosso which was a 30 minutes ride. The Garden was a true gem…a must stay!

We ended up at the Garden when another property that we had booked in Riomaggiore fell through (badly). Although the owner does not have a "front desk," it was very easy to connect with her and gain access to the property. Once we got there, we felt like we were in an oasis retreat. The room was brand new and very clean. Our unit also had an outdoor patio and outdoor shower area that was very relaxing after a day spent exploring Cinque Terre. Even though this property does not include breakfast, there is a wonderful mini-mart around the corner that has all kinds of Italian specialties. We visited it many times to sample foccacio, pannettone etc. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

Just Perfect

Wow. What a cool little place. This is a studio apartment duplex right in Volastra, above Riomaggiore and Manarola. It’s in a quiet location outside of town. Super easy to get to and find, Keta was wonderful with directions and tips for restaurants etc. The place is brand new with high end furnishings and bath, and the AC is EXCELLENT. Just a wonderful experience overall, great location and host. Highly recommend!

The place is nice. One room equiped with everything. Parking is resonable but bit uncomftarble. No loby ( its a private property) so have to coordinate check-in. The address is not clear ( rimajiore is the area but the location called volastra and its not mentioned ). Its very close to manarola which is very good. Volastra is isolated and nothing to do in the evening.

The Garden is a wonderful place to stay, it is lovely and quiet away from the crowds. The studio perfectly clean and a very high standard even better than the pictures. Alcetta was a thoughtful host, really helpful and quick to answer our questions when needed. The local restaurant Tiabuscion is a must, the food was superb! We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was an amazing place!! Easy to find, centrally located between the different villages and well kept. The owner definitely put thought into the design and decor.

A modern place to stay.

Very nice place to stay. Nice and roomie. Very clean and modern. The owners were very nice and welcoming. You are able to hike down to a few towns from the hotel. On the off season though, buses and taxis don’t run, fyi.
