I simply cannot say enough about this cottage and the beautiful surrounding area. This is our forth time here and won't be our last. It's absolutely beautiful and very clean. The hosts are very friendly and are the icing on the cake.

Pure relaxation

Sun on the Brow, Blue Skies cottage provided our family with a relaxing week surrounded in nature. Opinicon lake was beautiful and peaceful. The Kayaks provided allowed us to explore the beauty of the lake and all the wildlife. The cottage was cozy and stocked with everything we needed. The renovations were well done. Only thing to mention was the size of the shower as it was very small. our family loved the boathouse. Air hockey competitions were lots of fun. Would recommend to others.

3rd visit

This was our 3rd stay at Sun on the Brow, first at Blue Skies cottage. We had a lovely relaxing long weekend. We played cards in the boathouse, and spent lots of time out on the paddle boards and kayaks. Hosts are always welcoming. Cottage was clean and well equipped.

A blissful time at Sun on The Brow

We had a great time at the Sun on the brow, we stayed in the cottage of Blue Skies. The cottage and the property were the exact same as described, and better. Kim and Bill were the most gracious hosts one could ask for -- warm, attentive and generous. They sent over blankets and a heater because the nights were colder than normal before we knew we might need them. Bill took us out on their boat and toured us around the lake and chaffey's lock. The cottage was spotless, well decorated, optimal use of the space. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. The lake was peaceful and beautiful. We had morning coffees and afternoon drinks on the dock, We watched the moon reflecting on the lake while enjoying the firepit; we saw sunrise; We canoned/kayaked and saw so many turtles ... we had a blissful time. The cottage was not big, the living/dining room felt small, but it didn't bother us much, because 1)we were at a cottage, we were not supposed to spend too much time inside; 2)the boat house is virtually 10 steps away, and it's huge! It had huge sofas, a huge dining table; and it had all the games and books. When the sun was too strong for me to stay outside, that's where I read my books. The boat house had beautiful lake views. We truly enjoyed our stay, Thank You Kim and Bill. We hope we will come back soon!

Amazing Stay!

Cottage on the Brow is an absolutely gorgeous location. The cottages are fantastic and well stocked and the hosts are incredible. Our family now goes back every year to this amazing place.

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful week long stay at Sun on the Brow. So much to do including games in the boat house, kayaks, fire pit and local attractions. Very well appointed cottages, and Kim and Bill were excellent hosts! We look forward to visiting again next year for a family gathering!

A Peaceful Getaway from the City

A lovely and quiet spot for a relaxing week away. The recent renos of the interior were nicely done, while maintaining the original rustic nature of the cottage. The kitchen was well-stocked with all we needed. Great to have access to kayaks. Our cottage "neighbours" and their dogs were very friendly but respectful of our space. Kim and Bill were always nearby if needed. We appreciated the welcoming gifts left for us on the table. I would only say that if you enjoy swimming, you should know the lake is clean and refreshing but fairly shallow and a bit weedy.

HAPPY LAKESIDE VACATION

This property is so relaxing to stay at. Our cottage overlooked the lake. You can hear the loons and see the stars. There is a large deck to sit out on for our exclusive use. The cottage comes fully equipped, is very clean and well looked after. Our hosts are wonderful and very responsive. This is our second time there, more to come!

Another amazing stay

This was our second year staying at Grandview and it won’t be the last as we could not have been happier. This cottage has everything you could possibly need. Bill & Kim are such fantastic hosts, they’re always close by to ensure a smooth stay. The views from the wrap around deck never disappoint and the trees provide a shady, cool spot to relax. Every detail is considered and the place was spotless when we arrived. Can’t say enough good things about both the cottage and the hosts.

Just spent a wonderful week at this amazing location. The host were so accommodating and friendly. Amenities in the cottage were top notch. Excellent location for us being halfway between Montreal and Toronto. Wildlife in abundance. A wonderful time had and we hope to return. Thanks Bill, Kim, and Rideau.

Blue Skies

We stayed in a beautiful two bedroom cabin with a loft, indoor shower, full kitchen and a living room with a TV. On the property they had a boathouse with activities (pool table, foosball table, air hockey table & a large table to do puzzles & to play games on). In addition, a shed that had kayaks & paddle boards. Our son in law brought his boat to go fishing. The fishing was great! We also fished right off of the dock and caught fish there. Beautiful sunsets and breath taking views at night with the moon glistening on the water. Bill & Kim were great hosts and pleasant to talk to. We would highly recommend staying here.
