House is exactly as described in the description, however, it definitely felt like the VRBO commercial with Nick Sabean, from either an overly friendly or nosy neighbor asking as questions every time she saw one of us from where are we going, what are we going to do and telling us where all of the other guest park their trailer. In addition, I felt it was odd that the gardener arrived unannounced and started mowing the lawn, introduced himself to one of the members in our group as the homeowner and completed one of the worst grass cutting jobs ever performed, only to receive a direct text about 30-45 minutes later advising me that the gardener was going to cut the lawn. Not sure if this is coincidence, or a way to make sure we are following the plethora of rules. Overall the stay was satisfactory, location was great, but would have had it enjoyed it more if we had more privacy.

Great location for exploring

This property worked well for our family. The location in Rapid City was perfect for exploring a large radius including the Badlands, Black Hills, and Devils Tower. The house was clean and had more than enough beds for everyone. The kids enjoyed the foosball table. My only minor suggestion would be to have ziplock bags or plastic wrap available in the kitchen. Michael’s communication was outstanding. He was very understanding when we were impacted by weather delays. My family had a great time overall.

Love the house & quiet neighborhood! Such a great place to come back to & relax after the chaos & craziness of sports tournaments. Have stayed 2 years in a row & will definitely be back! Perfect for our large family!

Perfect

We had a family trip with three generations. This house was perfect for our week stay, family dinners and games. There was a bathroom on both floors where all bedrooms were located which was great for my older parents. There were two family rooms with large TVs so older family could watch shows while younger family members could play games or watch something else. The location was perfect. Close to all highways, 20 minues from the airport. There were explicit instructions for EVERYTHING. This was a beautiful house and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely book again.

Excellent location

The property was in the middle of everything and was an extremely quiet location. All the majors tourist attractions were easy to get to as well as lots of restaurant choices nearby. The property was excellent with everything you could possibly need in a home away from home.

Rapid City Stopover

Three of us retired women stayed here while traveling to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. We each had a separate bedroom and two baths to share. We stayed here two nights to visit the sites in the area. The instructions and access into the house were very helpful and clear. Having a garage was great. The house was very comfortable. The patio nice to sit on. The kitchen was furnished for us to do a little cooking. The individual split systems for each room were wonderful. The kitchen had coffee and tea and coffeepot and crock pot. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels, blankets and bathroom supplies. The neighborhood was quiet and easy to walk. The hosts checked in with us to make sure all was well and to see if we needed anything. Communication was great. We highly recommend this place.

Great Place

In town to do some sight seeing, great location! We enjoyed several day trips to Cluster State Park, Black Hills, Mt Rushmore, and Badlands. The house was extremely comfortable for four adults and can accommodate many more. It’s a quad level home and we each had our own level with bedroom and bath so it worked out perfect for us. The house is clean, well maintained, perfectly stocked and has the perfect amount of instruction for use scattered throughout. The backyard was a great place to hang out after our days of travel. We enjoyed the BBQ too. Highly recommend!

Great Place With A Lot Of Room

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house was in great condition with plenty of room. The house was well stocked with all of the everyday household items you would need. There was good communication with the owner leading up to check-in which makes for a stress free evening after a 12 hour drive. The house is centrally located to all of the attractions we wanted to experience and located minutes from Hwy 90. We were very pleased with this home.

One of the best places to stay

This is an incredible property for a family. Every thing was clean and it immediately felt like home. We stayed for 6 days and did not have to worry about furnishing anything except our food. The location was perfect for wanting to see Mount Rushmore or any other tourist attraction. The host was friendly and responded to every need.

Wonderful family vacation

Such a wonderful place to stay in Rapid City! Very safe neighborhood and very clean house; hands down one of the best places I have rented. There were 10 of us total (7 adults and 3 kids) and there was plenty of space for us all. The house was exactly as the pictures showed. Plenty of hot water (even with all of the showers and laundry we did!). Plenty of extra blankets and towels as well. Had full use of the 2 car garage. The kids loved the air hockey and Foosball table. We loved the big kitchen table for all of us to have meals together, and the kitchen had all the needed items. Also, the grill was nice to use one night for dinner. Awesome location- within an hour from all the national parks. The host was very responsive and even came over the first night to help with an issue. The downstairs bunk area is open to the rest of the house, but we knew that ahead of time from prior reviews and we were all up early/ stayed up late so it didnt really bother us or the kids. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone! South Dakota is a beautiful place and we hope to be back again soon!

Easy to find. Comfy stay. Communicative host.

Very easy to find. Easy to access to highways, town, restaurants, and shopping while still being in a quiet neighborhood. The house is exactly as described and pictured. We loved all of the space! And we appreciated how clean everything was. Info about our car's make, model, and plate # was required before being given instructions on accessing the (wonderful) house. When I texted Anne Marie that we'd have a rental car and I didn't know its info yet, she was completely flexible. She provided the access information up front, then I texted her the rental car's info as soon as we'd picked it up. Anne Marie was available by text whenever I had any questions. ("How does the garage opener work?" "Is there a bath mat?") And she left a lovely note with recommendations of the specific kinds of sights I'd asked about. The recommendations were spot on! We enjoyed our stay and recommend these hosts and this property to anyone visiting the area.

Great place to stay!!

Great base location to tour the Blacks Hills and surrounding South Dakota attractions! The host's communication was awesome and timely. No issues at all checking in or understanding house rules / expectations. The host were very accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our comfort along with the house having plenty of extra amenities. We had a party of 11 (3 couples - 2 Adults, 4 Seniors - plus 1 teen, 4 children) and the sleeping arrangements worked perfectly for us. Each couple took one of the three main bedrooms with the kids utilize the bunkbeds in the extra room (3 twins & 1 full). Note - the extra room (bunkbeds) has no door to the main living area so it is consider "open" however this wasn't an issue for us as we just went to our separate rooms for the kids bedtime or have the possibility of hanging outside on the patio. The downstairs family room was a hit with the kids for hours of fun on the foosball & air hockey tables along with other board games provided & TV. The fridge was larger than expected which helped as we enjoy cooking & eating dinners together as a family which was easy with the well supplied kitchen. We loved the outdoor back yard patio set up with the grill. The garage was spacious and could easily fit two Ford Expeditions (or that equivalent). Highly recommend the hosts & this location for your next South Dakota trip and we will definitely book this location again next time we are in the area.

Amazing stay in Rapid City

This is a beautiful home that was a perfect fit for our family of eight. We have teenagers on down to a two year old and everyone enjoyed the space and the games at the house. Michael and Ann Marie are the best of hosts and it shows in the care they've taken to provide a beautiful house for others to stay in. This a great home to stay in for all of your vacation adventures!

Sturgis Trip

Great location close to stores and shopping. Group stayed here for 83rd Sturgis rally enjoyed the location and easy access to begin riding every morning. This home was well kept and the host was quick to reply to request. Would definitely rent again.
