This place was lovely! A perfect, peaceful short getaway. It’s a great find for the price and could sleep many more. It would be wonderful for a larger family gathering. It’s close to everything; downtown with plenty of restaurants and historic sites, near lots of trails and spots to enjoy nature. There were a few things that could be cleaner, including the fire pit. Everything else was nearly perfect. Overall, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This place was absolutely amazing — truly beyond five stars! The home was incredibly clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and Abby was wonderful to work with from start to finish. We hosted our daughter’s military wedding gathering here, and it could not have been more perfect. This home will always hold a special place in our family’s memories, and we are so grateful for Abby’s kind and thoughtful hospitality. The bride and groom have already said they want to return every year for their anniversary — and we definitely will be back as well. Thank you again, Abby, for making such an important moment in our lives so beautiful and memorable.

Fantastic yard, a cool old house, a beautiful fire pit on the lake, and a great location. We had a wonderful stay there. No dining room table, so that was different, but we enjoyed eating in the living room, taking in the view and each other's company. I would stay again anytime!

We loved our stay!!! We had three generations there and everyone was very happy! The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Life threw us a big curveball when my family had just arrived in the Outer Banks for vacation and within a few hours the mandatory evacuation was put in place with Hurricane Erin on the way. We decided to head inland and wanted somewhere where we could get a mix of nature and excitement and this was the perfect spot. The back yard overlooking the lake is beautiful and relaxing, and it was just a few minutes from downtown Raleigh and a short distance to some great hiking trails. Abigail was a great communicator and also arranged for us to check in early, which was a huge help as we had our 4 year old son and dog with us and had spent a lot of time in the car. I highly recommend staying here when visiting the Raleigh area!

Great Home!

We had a great time at the lake house. It was easy to find and clean upon arrival. The kitchen had everything we needed for a weekend with friends. The only feedback we have was that the bathroom in the hall didn't have a door latch which was not ideal but didn't necessarily impact the overall stay. The hosts were communicative. You would not have guessed you were less than 10 minutes from downtown Raleigh here. It was wonderful.

We loved the backyard and lake! We saw a fox, rabbit, and lots of geese. It was peaceful and quiet there! The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the shampoo, conditioner and soap provided. Overall, a comfortable and nice place to stay very close to Raleigh activities!
